      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Well worth the cost, quick to use without causing any hair damage.

I got these after having a few cheaper varieties. I should have used my common sense and got these first! Costly but very, very good. Easy to use with a long enough power lead. They come in a box for easy storage and travelling. Quite robust, I've dropped mine a number of times with no damage.
When I go away, they travel with me, not the smallest item in my case, but light.
Switch on and in very quick time, a few seconds, they are heated up and ready to go, which helps if you're not ready to go! They have a sensor in them that enables it to shut down after X amount of time not moving.
They straighten my hair quickly and easily which saves any long term damage to my hair. A couple of goes over each section is quite sufficient. I have now used these for over 2 years and they are still going strong, with no problems with them or my hair.
These are the best straighteners I have ever had, they are excellent to use, robust and long lasting. They have done my hair the world of good.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Great value for money

I bought these about 3 years ago now and they are still going strong. They still heat up in just a few seconds and glide over my hair easily without pulling on my hair. They straighten my hair so quickly that I only need to go over a section of hair once or twice which means little damage to my hair and not many split ends! I have fairly fine hair though which means that any curls and kinks never usually take much to get out so not sure how good these will be for someone with very curly hair. These are by far the best straighteners I have ever bought and will 100% be buying another pair if these ever break on me. They are super stylish and look great in my dressing room which for me is an added bonus! I would definitely recommended these to anyone looking for some good quality hair straighteners.

      recommend

well firstly i got these ghds to replace my previous pair which broke to no fault of ghd totally my own clumsy fault, anyway i absoloutly love them the glide over the hair so easily without pulling or snagging and heat up in seconds great for that last minute flick over yyour hair before the taxi arrives ona night out, the good feature ihave found on these is if accidently left on they will beep loudly so you know that they are still switched on. i love ghd strightners and recommend them never had any problems with any of them and will continute to use them well worth the expensive price as they do last an awful long time and they will replace them easily if faulty or need repairing. They are also availble in lots of colours and styles but these black and gold ones look lovely and come with a lovely case for storing them when traveling.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Best on the market!

These are my second pair of GHD Straighteners and they are definitely the best on the market! They come in a box in which you can store them in which is useful.

They have two types depending on your hair type: thick ones for thicker hair and thinner ones for thinner hair. I have the thin ones, my hair is only short. They are easy to operate, you just wait a few seconds till the red light flashes. There is also different settings depending how hot you want the straighteners to be which is a good function to have.

They are £100 to purchase which some may think is pretty costly but they are by far worth it, in my opinion!

They make your hair extremely straight and it is quick for my hair since mine is only short and I just go over it pretty quick. These also do not burn your hair like cheaper ones would!

      Would recommend these to people!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

The best straighteners out there - especially for short hair.

I chose to buy these GHD's after I got a jaw length bob and then a shaggy pixie cut. I had bought and used GHD's before I got my hair cut (I had MUCH longer hair) and based on this had high expectations. They are amazing! The blades are so tiny so you can really get to the roots which is really important with a shorter cut. They take seconds to heat up, literally. Compared to several minutes with other products. Plus they let you know when they are ready buy beeping. Worried about burning the house down? They contain a sensor that can detect if they are moving or not - after they have been still for 30 minutes they go into sleep mode and cool down, making them very safe compared to other straighteners that will continually get hotter and hotter. There are several heat settings so you can adjust the effect depending on how coarse or delicate your hair is. The blades are ceramic coated and glide over the hair - this total lack of friction prevents damage to the hair and gives a sleek smooth look. Honestly, I have tried other 'high end' straighteners before and the blades have ripped, tugged and snapped my hair. These are the only straighteners to go for if you are serious about looking after you hair whilst still looking stylish.
