Advantages: Easy and safe to use, adds volume and shape to ends of hair, good price
Disadvantages: Doesnt add volume to roots of hair
I have often struggled with the volume in my hair, as in I don't have a great deal of it. I would love to have more volume and have tired a number of hair products that are meant to add volume to it but nothing seems to work. When I say I have tried everything, I have used products as opposed to equipment and so I started browsing hair styling products and came across the Remington CB4N Flexi brush Steam Hot Air Styler. I did a little bit of research and looked at what the product had to offer and I made the purchase. Here are my thoughts on the Hot air Styler.
The Remington brand is one that I have owned before. I have had a couple of hairdryers from them and always been quite impressed. The Hot Air Styling brush is relatively low priced in my opinion and will cost you around the £12.99 mark. The Styler can be purchased from places like Boots, Argos and Superdrug as well as online from Amazon and HQ Hair. I think it tends to be the same price no matter where you make the purchase from.
The slyer comes well packaged and upon opening I found that it was smaller than I expected it to be, not that this was a problem. There was a two year manufacturer's guarantee as well as a detailed instruction booklet. The Styler was quite easy to use but it is worth having a read as you don't want to end up with burnt fingers! There is 1.8 metres of electrical cord attached to the product and it also swivels around as you twist the brush around. It will heat up within 60 seconds which is impressive, gone are the days when you needed to leave one to heat up for about 5 minutes!
The design of the Styler is basically a long narrow pole with a brush around it which will help the brush work its way through your hair. The product is described as a 'versatile styling tool that helps you achieve high definition curls, bouncy waves and high volume. The Styler has a ceramic coat so it is also protecting your hair when it is adding the volume.
I found the Styler really light to hold and to handle and when you needed to twist it round it was fine to grip onto. The first thing that I started using the styler was to add volume at the roots of my hair and then once I got used to it I then started to add flicks to the ends of my hair. My hair is naturally quite frizzy so I started by taming it with some frizz serum and using the styler. I found it less good at adding the volume to the roots of my hair but it was good for adding the flicks and the bounce at the ends of my hair. I found the styler really safe to use as well.
The styler is one that I would recommend and for the low price, if you don't get to grips with it, I can't see why you would find a small benefit though, even though this isn't great for adding volume at roots, it is at the ends so when I don't want to bother using my GHD's, this is great for tidying the ends up if you like, I run my brush through after roughly drying my hair and this will leave the ends well styled.
In summary, I am happy that I brought this and whilst it may not set out and do what I intended it for, it is a good little purchase.
4 out of 5 from me
Thank you for reading
