“ Brand: Russell Hobbs / Type: Hand / Speed Settings: 5 Speeds / Power Output: 200 Watts „
I received this in Easter as part of the strange Easter gifts I tend to get from my family. I was woefully short on kitchen utensils after moving into my new flat so it was very appreciated and it has come in handy. The older I am getting the more cooking I find myself doing and this has been one of my used devices in the past few months. I cannot fault it and as with every Russell Hobbs device I have used it truly is something special to behold. Guaranteed quality with this product!
I have looked online and this retails for around £17.99 which is slightly more expensive than other brands. A lot of firms and stores do really cut price and cheap mixers which basically don't do the job! Its much better paying the quality price for this quality brand which will make your life easier and last much longer.
The first thing that you will realise when you get this out of the box is it feels so solid, well made and has some weight to it. It certainly shines of quality and you get the impression that this will last a while. All the fittings and add ons are tight, well made and constructed to perfection. It is well made and another sign of a quality brand.
At 200watts power it is much more powerful than other rivals for the same price and you start to notice as soon as you use it. It feels really tough and lively and does a fantastic job. It works a treat and it feels like you have a mini rocket engine in your hands.
Its reliable, high performing and gives you great results every time. With 5 speeds you can suit it to your every need and its made my kitchen time reduced and more effective.
All in all a fantastic easy to use piece that I would highly recommend.

The Russell Hobbs hand mixer is a must have for any kitchen! It is a small compact kitchen gadget which allows you to mix/whisk different items quickly without getting a huge great appliance out. It is small enough to sit neatly on the shelf waiting for the the time when I need to whisk something too big for hand but too small to use my kitchenaid mixer.
This handmixer is 200watts, which is enough to happily whisk any item quickly and efficiently. Those difficult items such as egg whites or cream are managed easily and in a few minutes. It also has a dough attachment however, I have not yet used this. Although to be honest I would wonder if it hand the power to get through dough when it is thick and needs heavy kneeding.
It has 5 variable speeds which allow you to choose the speed you wish to whisk. This allows you to start gradually to prevent you from making a rather large mess if you go straight in on the full whack. The button is easy to use and as you are whisking you can slide it forward to gradually increase the power.
I have found that when whisking you need to tilt the bowl towards you to prevent the batter splatter! However, I think this would be the same for any handwhisk.
This model isn no longer available however, current models look almost identical. I am sure they do the same job just with a slight upgrade on the looks. THis model is crome and I bought it for around £20. The new models are now even cheaper and Argos is doing a similar one for around £10. A bargain and a welcome addition to any kitchen!
