Oriflame Reviving Hand Treatment Mask
by klakierek
I have never had a hand mask so when I came across Oriflame Reviving Hand Treatment Mask in one of their catalogues, I ordered it immediately.
Unlike most of the hand creams I have had, this hand mask comes in a round, face cream-like container. It has yellow and orange colour (something like nude but brighter) and and a ... transparent lid mostly covered with a sticker. The design isn't amazing, I would call it plain and ordinary but at the same time you can make sure that you use every single ml of this mask.
At first, I wasn't sure how to use it. According to the producer, you can either apply it for around 15-20 minutes and wash it off, or just apply it overnight. I have tried both ways. When I applied it for the first time, I couldn't do anything for this 20 minutes so I watched a film. However, it wasn't very convenient as I couldn't even put my hands on my lap (unless I wanted my clothes to get dirty which wasn't the case). I was glad when this time was over and I could wash my hands. Indeed, they were much softer and better nourished.
I also applied it overnight (and I still do it twice a week) and it was much more convenient. In the morning, my hands were were soft and after a couple of weeks of using it (you shouldn't use it more than two to three times a week) I could see a noticeable difference in the condition of my hands - they weren't dry anymore (and they had tendency to get dry quite quickly), they were much softer and better-nourished.
The mask itself is fairly thick but it doesn't really seem to make much difference to me this time and I am not sure why as normally I am not a fan of very thick creams. It has a very mild, cosmetics-like scent which I think is extremely difficult to describe - it is pleasant and feminine and it also disappears very quickly.
Overall, it is a very good product and it contains sweet almond oil and rich shea butter. One container of 75 ml costs £5.45 but it can be found on offer quite frequently and it will last for weeks. Read the complete review |

Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Hand Cream
by klakierek
My hands tend to get dry if I don't use a hand cream and throughout the day I don't have time to apply it and wait for it to dry (and I haven't found a hand cream that skin absorbs quickly) so every night, before I go to bed, I apply some hand cream. At the moment I am using Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Hand Cream and I am quite pleased ... with it.
It comes in a white tub with a pink lid at the bottom. I like the design of the container - it's very feminine and quite modern. Unfortunately, it isn't see-through so every time I want to see how much hand cream I have left, I need to put a light source behind it.
The cream itself has a white colour and you must be careful not to apply too much of it as your hands are also going to be white for a few minutes (which in my opinion looks quite funny but is very inconvenient unless you apply just before going to bed). That happens to me quite often as I tend to apply quite a lot of the cream every time I use it.
I have no idea whatsoever how silk & cashmere should smell. I must however admit that the scent of this hand cream is very pleasant. It is a bit powdery-like, it's very mild (so if strong scents make you feel dizzy, this is something for you!) and disappears quite quickly. It is not refreshing sort of scent, it's more of a calming smell.
According to producer: 'Soothing formula helps retain skin's moisture balance to hydrate hands'. I can agree with that as it doesn't promise to moisturise dry hands. It simply makes your hands softer and nourishes them which is enough for me. It doesn't dry them out (happened with some other hand creams in the past) and is easy to use. I am not sure whether it would work for dry skin but it does its job perfectly well for normal skin.
Overall, it is a good hand cream. A tub of 100 ml normally costs £4.45 but it can be found on offer quite frequently. Read the complete review |

Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream
by klakierek
I received a shower gel as a gift and I absolutely fell in love with the milk & honey gold scent so I had to buy Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream when I found it on promotion. I must admit it didn't disappoint me.
This cream comes in a transparent vessel with a golden lid. Like all Milk & ... Honey Gold cosmetics, it looks quite luxurious. The cream itself is almost white.
The texture is, in my opinion, perfect. It is not runny but not too thick, a bit runnier than... custard (this is the only comparison I can come up with). The skin absorbs it very quickly so it is the sort of cream you can use it both in the morning and in the evening. It is simply a pleasure to apply this cream, I think it is one of the best ones produced by Oriflame.
The smell is lovely. A bit superficial I suppose but at the same time I absolutely adore. I sometimes go to the bathroom just to open this cream and smell it. Unfortunately, it is gone quite quickly (especially when you compare it to the Body Shop products) but if you smell your body then it is still there (I have actually discovered this by accident).
After using this cream for a bit (a week or so) your skin will become really smooth and soft. Even my elbows were nourished which doesn't happen with all the creams I have used.
I haven't tried using it as a hand cream simply because I have always a separate cosmetics - my hands get extremely dry and I don't think it would be sufficient.
Unfortunately, it is quite expensive: you will pay £6.45 for a 250ml container. You can, however, find it on promotion quite often and save a couple of pounds. It can be bought from Oriflame reps who as far as I remember can be also found from their website http://www.oriflame.co.uk Read the complete review |
