Advantages: Good price and smells fresh
Disadvantages: Consistency is not thick or creamy enough for me.
I bought my 500ml Baylis and Harding indulgent moisturising hand lotion, in Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit in my local beauty store for £3.50, which I thought was very reasonably priced for such a large bottle. I have it by the sink to use after I or my husband has washed up.
I have very dry hands and was hoping this cream would help out, but unfortunately I would consider this product to be very average.
The product comes in a clear bottle, much like Molten Brown in design, has a black pump action dispenser, which works very well and a simple circular brick like pattern on the front with the logo printed on top. The hand lotion contains vitamin A, B and C extracts and from the outside looks very thick and creamy in consistency.
The lotion smells lovely and fresh I would say more grapefruity than mandarin and the scent tends to linger for quite a while after application.
The lotion itself is in my opinion quite thin, it is easy to apply and soaks into my skin very well, but it just does not moisturise my hands well enough. I usually use Loccitane products and they have a high quantity of shea butter in them and are much thicker, but at £15 per tube can run a bit expensive.
I would say that overall this hand lotion smells great and looks great, but is average. If you are lucky enough to have normal skin, i.e. not overly dry then this product would be ok for using after washing up, or washing your hands, for dry or very dry hands I would suggest using another product that is thicker and creamier in consistency. I will continue to use the lotion but alternate it with my other hand creams.
Summary: Ok product for the price
