As I'm a fan of The Body Shop's Satsuma range, I was delighted to open a beautifully wrapped package at Christmas where I discovered a number of gorgeous goodies; one of which was the Hand Cleanse Gel with this review discussing my experience with using. We are presented with 60ml of hand cleanse gel, which is contained within a transparent plastic bottle with a flip top lid. In keeping with the Satsuma range and to provide some appeal to what otherwise would have been a plain looking bottle, there are images of the refreshing zesty fruit provided in an outline of a human hand and arm. For those consumers who are against the use of the ingredient triclosan, ...  Read the complete review

One item I always keep in my handbag is a bottle of hand cleansing gel, I find it extremely useful if you are out and about and need to wash your hands but cannot find toilets anywhere, also I find it useful if you have to use public toilets when out and they turn out to be a bit dirty and smelly, I can use some of this gel once I am back outside again to ensure that my hands are clean. Another reason I use this is being diabetic and injecting 4 times a day I need to make sure my hands are really clean when I do so. . I have tried different hand cleansing gels in the past and have found that a lot of them either tend to just smell very strongly of alcohol or ...  Read the complete review

I've got a bit of a hygiene obsession (or OCD as my husband calls it!) and I'm always either washing my hands, or using an anti-bacterial cleansing gel on my hands if no soap and water are available. I normally buy the Carex anti-bacterial hand gels, which usually cost around £1.50, but more often than not you can pick them up on offer for around £1 in Boots or Superdrug or one of the supermarkets. My main gripe with the Carex hand gels however is their fairly 'chemically' fragrance, I've tried all of the fragrances in the range and they all have that 'chemically' undertone to them. My sister recommended this Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel from The Body Shop, she ...  Read the complete review

As a mum, I'm a bit of an obsessive when it comes to hygiene when out and about with my kids. This stems from experiences such as visiting a soft play area and being horrified to find my toddler with a sticking plaster in his mouth (ugh!) and the inevitable sickness and runny tummy that follows visits to these places. And don't get me started on buses, trains, public play areas and the like. The world is a germy place and my little boy who has autism doesn't know the difference between things that are safe to touch and things that aren't. I now make it a habit to always have a bottle of hand sanitiser in my bag when out and about. I find it useful when we use ...  Read the complete review

~*~*~*~ Stocking filler *~*~*~*~ I recently popped into the Body Shop just to have a little look around, without any real intention to buy anything. But I was tempted by the 3 for 2 offer on Christmas stocking fillers as I thought it would be a nice cheap fix! Along with a couple of Born Lippy lip balm, this also caught my eye. ~*~*~*~ New addition for the new addition! *~*~*~*~ This is a completely new product which I hadn't seen either in-store or online before, and I was quite keen to try it out. I am not obsessive about hygiene and germs, but travelling on public transport in London every day and with a young child - and number 2 on the way - I ...  Read the complete review
