INTRODUCTION

With my job as a hair stylist I have to constantly protect and hydrate my hands as they are always in and out of water and they become very dry and cracked in the process.

I have used many hand lotions in the past, one of my favourites being the Vaseline intensive hand and nail treatment creams, but after visiting a body shop seminar the other week I found this Vitamin E hand and nail lotion, so as a huge fan of the body shops vitamin E range I just had to try it.

THE PRODUCT

The cream itself is very similar to the cleanser, the only difference it is slightly thicker so it is very easy to apply into your hands, nails and cuticles.

As this is a Vitamin E product it conditions, nourishes, and protects your skin leaving it soft, smooth, and smelling fantastic as it has a light floral fragrance to it that deposits on to your skin when the cream in massaged in to you hands.

The thing that really drew me to the product was the fact that it contained Panthenol, which has been proved that it helps strengthen your nails, helping with things such as weak flaking and breaking nails, as a queen of false acrylic nails I have found this works wonders after removing my false nails and it hydrates my nails instantly.

The cream is easily absorbed into the skin and does not leave a greasy film or residue like most other brands.

APPLICATION

All you need is a small pea sized amount in to the palm of your hand and then rub it into you hands and nails.

This should only take a few minutes as it absorbs very quickly and instantly softens and hydrates my skin, I have also been known to use this as a cuticle cream I apply it to my cuticles allow it to soak in and then either push them back of cut them off, anyone who takes care of there nails will know that removing the cuticles can be very difficult and painful if it is not done correctly, but with this cream it makes the whole process effortless.

PRICE / AVAILABILITY

This hand and nail cream comes in a 75ml light pick squeezable tube with a flip top cap, underneath the cap is a small opening hole that dispenses the cream when the tube is squeezed, allowing minimal amounts of cream out at a time which saves wasting the cream too.

The best thing about the packaging is that it is fully recyclable, to this is a thumbs up in that department.

This costs £8.50 a tube, which is very expensive compared to many other brands on the market, but this really is a great product and worth every penny in my book.

You can buy this at any body shop, body shop online but you will need to pay a postage cost on top pf anything you buy and various other places such as ebay.

MY OPINION

This is a fantastic product for everyday use and any skin type, I have extremely sensitive skin and this works well without causing my skin to flare up and go blotchy, so it is highly recommended by me.

I love to buy from the body shop as I feel like I am giving something back, as a percentage of everything sold goes to community programmes where the body shop buy ingredients and pay under privileged areas of the world money for them, so all in all they get good natural ingredients for the products and support deprived areas at the same time.

As a huge animal lover I take pride in using cosmetics and products that are not tested on animals, so the body shop is a brilliant place to shop as none of its products are tested on animals.

I recommend this cream in particular if you are a body shop fan or if you like the vitamin E range, I promise you will not be disappointed with the outcome.

This is also highly recommended for dry brittle nails of after the removal of false nails.
