“ Brand: Boots / Nail Care / Type: Nail Polish Remover „
This nail polish remover really was a gem of a find! I had painted my nails a pink colour for a weekend with some cheap nail polish and then by the Monday they were starting to look awful. I realised I didn't have any remover in the house so ran off down to boots to get some. Naturally, I went for one of the cheapest bottles on the shelf. I didn't want to have to shell out a stupid amount of money for something which is just stripping colour off my nails.
The boots clean off nail polish remover cost me £1.30 for a 150ml bottle. Compared with other brands this is quite cheap. It comes in a very simple plastic bottle with a black screw-top lid. The lid fastens very tightly so I'm not worried about the product leaking out. The fluid inside is a light pink colour and is slightly more viscous than water. The directions for use are the same as most other liquid nail polish removers. You dampen some cotton wool with the liquid and rub it on your nails until the nail polish is all removed. As it is a liquid rather than wipes, it will last a lot longer so is great value for money.
I have used more expensive nail polish removers before and this one works just as well. In fact, I actually prefer the smell of this one compared to more expensive brands. It has more of a floral sweet smell to it instead of the usual chemical stench. It removed all of the pink nail polish without me having to scrub at my nails. It really did surprise me how easily it came off as I was expecting to spend more time removing the polish. I also have not noticed my nails drying out at all after use, which is unusual for me. Boots also offer a moisturising version but I don't think I really need it. However I think it is about the same price if you did need a moisturising action.
So in summary, I love this product and will continue to buy it over more expensive brands. It really works well, smells nice and is a great price. What more could you want!?
