Boots Mediterranean Lemon Rosemary & Walnut Hand & Nail Cream
Advantages: Softens skin and improves nails
Disadvantages: Strong smell
I found this hand cream at the back of bathroom cabinet recently and vaguely remember getting it from Boots, but I cannot remember how much I purchased it for. I did a quick Google search and it appears that this product is not currently available on the UK Boots website, maybe they will bring it back.
The cream comes in a clear plastic tube with a black plastic flip top lid, that is easy to use and does not leak.
The product is dermatologically tested and is designed to indulge your hands and nails with its rich, moisturising effect that is supposed to which soften your skin and allow your cuticles to be pushed back. It contains organic extracts of uplifting and refreshing lemon oil, stimulating and clarifying rosemary oil and softening and moisturising walnut oil. It should leave your hands feeling silky soft and refreshed.
I have quite dry hands and tend to use hand creams with shea butter in such as Crabtree and Evelyn or L'Occitane products, so I was not really expecting much from this hand cream overall. The consistency of the cream is very light, more like a lotion, it is slightly yellow in colour and the scent of rosemary dominates any sign of the lemon and walnut, which I did not mind as I like the smell of rosemary.
I found that a small amount, probably the size of two peas was enough to cover my hands and that the cream soaked into my skin well, not leaving it sticky. It did leave my hands moisturised and I have also noticed that the condition of my nails has improved slightly. I have been using the cream for about 3 week, 3-4 times per day, along with another hand creams I have dotted around my house and work desk.
Overall I would recommend this product to others (as long as you like the smell of rosemary) as although it is not the best hand cream I have ever used, it has done a good job at moisturising and softening my hands.
Summary: Good everyday hand cream
