Before Christmas I decided to use the Boots advantage card points I had accumulated over the year to treat myself to the No 7 hat box in which you received a selection of skin care treats. At the time of purchase Boots were offering a free No 7 gift bag if apparently worth £22.00 if you spent over a certain amount of money on No 7 and as my hat box was £30.00 as offer of the week it entitled me to the free gift. In the free gift was a small tube of protect and perfect intense day hand cream.
The hand cream is packed in a shimmering cream coloured tube with a golden screw on lid on which it can stand. The tube features black and gold writing which goes really well with the rest of the packaging and serves the purpose of making it look expensive and classy too.
The No 7 protect and perfect intense day hand cream is hypo allergenic and also offers SPF of 15 and UVA protection too. It claims to intensively condition, restore and protect your hands and will leave them softer and smoother instantly whilst making them look younger in four weeks. Whilst my hands don't look old by any means I am quite conscious that I always seem to be washing up and cleaning which can't be the best thing for my hands and so I think using a good hand cream is important. I keep my hand cream next to my make up box in my bedroom because I apply my make up daily and so it has become part of my routine to use the hand cream too.
The actual hand cream is a thin white cream which has a nice, slightly perfumed scent. The cream rubs in well to my hands and although it initially sits on the skin it is actually really quickly absorbed fully by the skin. I have to say that I was quite surprised by this as many hand creams can leave your hands sticky for a while after application.
After applying this hand cream to my hands in a morning my hands feel much softer and more care for and this feeling lasts well throughout the day despite my on going battles with cleaning the house! I have been using my small tube each morning for three weeks now and I still have some left in the tube as you only need a small amount each morning. Whilst I wouldn't say my hands look younger, as I feel my hands look pretty young anyway, I would say that they feel so much softer and well cared for in general since I have been using this cream.
This hand cream costs £11.50 for 75ml at Boots and whilst it is not a cheap product by any means I do think that it is highly effective and so if you are looking for a treat for your hands which will leave them in lovely condition then I would certainly recommend this one.
