Boots Royal Jelly Hand Wash
Advantages: lovely honey smell, nice packaging, acceptable price, moisturises
Disadvantages: none I can think of!
Today I am going to tell you all about the Royal Jelly shower gel by Boots.
This shower gel caught my attention when I was browsing at Boots. I had never seen it before though I believe it is quite a classic! I really like honey-scented products and shower gels with honey and milk are pretty much the standard product in Germany, so something with pure honey scent instead of the honey and milk kind was quite appealing to me! Since it wasn't that expensive and looked really nice, I decided to try it out!
The shower gel comes in one of these bottles you can hang in the shower upside down if you want to. It contains 250ml and has a golden plastic cap you just snap open (as opposed to unscrewing).
There's a silver label on the front of the bottle giving the brand name and product name. It is also stated that the shower gel provides moisture for the skin and contains pure honey.
On the back of the bottle there is a grey label with silver/grey writing on it. The shower gel is supposed to contain high quality ingredients (natural royal jelly!) and luxurious pampering for your skin to make it soft and nourished.
The ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle as well!
This shower gel does not only smell like honey, but the texture is also very much like that lovely sweet stuff! It's not too thick or sticky though - you can easily squeeze it out of the bottle and spread it on your skin! It's super soft to the touch and builds up a nice lather. Washing it off is easy as well!
The scent is absolutely lovely. It smells like real honey! The scent stays on the skin, but only ever so slightly.
It does a lot for your skin, too. My skin felt really soft and smooth afterwards! I was well moisturised and not as desperate for lotion as usual! I also felt nice and clean afterwards! Despite the scent being so sweet, I felt quite refreshed.
My skin reacted well to it and I had no problems. Allergics and people with very sensitive skin should, of course, check the list of ingredients before buying the product.
The bottle lasted me quite a while - I think it can last you for up to 25 showers because you need so little of it to wash yourself all over!
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Sodium Chloride, Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Betaine, Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Dipropylene Glycol, Citric Acid, BHT, PEG-40 hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Polyquaternium-39, Benzophenone-4, Propylene glycol, Royal jelly, Panthenol, Mel, Methylparaben, Denatonium Benzoate, Proyplparaben, Tocopherol, CI 19140, CI 14700, CI 42090.
You can only buy this at Boots drugstores for £2.55. I think that price is quite acceptable!
I loved this! I was worried that the scent might be too sweet in an artificial way, but it smelt just like real honey and I fell in love with it. I defenitely recommend it to everyone who loves honey and I am sure it would make a nice gift. :)
Summary: The perfect honey body wash!
