Carex Aloe Vera Hand Wash
Advantages: good at cleaning hands
Disadvantages: very strong smelling, find the scent sickly
Cussons Carex Aloe vera is anti-bacterial hand wash which is an advantage in a hand wash. Only a small amount is needed for enough lather to be created in order to wash your hands. It gets rid of any dirt and stickiness effectively.
The handwash is operated by pushing down on the pump and this releases the liquid inside the bottle. I did find that whenever I pushed it would release more than I wanted, rather than just a small amount, which was what I wanted to get. I had to be very careful in order to get a small amount. The hand pump is simple to operate, even though it seems to give you a default amount of handwash. The pump is also easy to unlock during your first use by simply twisting it once, and pressing down on it a few times.
The information on the back is easily readable, which is not always the case with handwashes. Carex Aloe vera is dermatologically tested, and it says the bottle is recyclable. According to the bottle, Carex has a new and improved formula that works 3x faster to kill germs and bacteria.
This is good for washing hands, but I would consider a different scent, as the Aloe Vera option is very strong smelling and I do not find it pleasant. A 250ml Cussons Carex Aloe Vera is £1.58 from Boots. Considering the scent I would not purchase this again. Although, the scent may be to some people's taste as it is a strong plant-type smell that some do like.
The smell is very strong, it lasts for a while, and I find it a bit sickly. At first the smell was ok, but then after I got more accustomed to it, I found it too strong and overpowering. When compared to other soaps, I find other soaps can have a softer scent and wash as well as Aloe Vera handwash.
Summary: this is a handwash that does the job, but I find the scent quite sickly
