Advantages: fun hand wash, cheap on offer
Disadvantages: nozzles dribbles!
Doing the weekly shop can be a tedious affair! I often like to try new products just to cheer things up a little and this was the main reason I bought a bottle of Carex chocolate orange hand wash from Tesco. The other deciding factor was that it was on a half price offer at just 90p for a 250ml bottle.
I am not brand loyal when it comes to hand wash and tend to buy whatever is on offer. I have used Carex hand wash many times in the past and have been happy with them. This version comes in a standard pump action bottle . I don't like using bar soaps as I think they are not only messy but also unhygienic. The bottle is made of clear plastic allowing the bright orange colour of the liquid soap to slow through. The pump action top works well dispensing just enough for a decent hand wash with 1 pump. Carex recommends that you use 2 pumps for each hand wash, but I think this is too much. On the negative side I do find that the nozzles dribbles a bit!
The soap has a definite smell of a chocolate orange and certainly encourages my boys to wash their hands! Although the scent is fairly strong when first used,it doesn't last long . I find some liquid soaps can dry my skin but I am pleased to report that this one has added moisturisers and leaves by hands feeling soft and hydrated. I bought it to use in my kitchen and am reassured that Carex claim that it will destroy 99.9 % of all bacteria.
Overall this is a fun hand wash that will (hopefully) encourage children to wash their hands! It doesn't dry my skin and is a bargain whilst on that half price offer!
