==WHY I USE CAREX HAND GEL==

As I get frequent visits from my nephews and nieces, I find it very important to keep my hands free from germs and bacteria, as we all know very young children and newborns can be prone to infections a lot more easily due to their developing immune systems. As a result I tend to have a few of these Carex Hand Gel with Aloe Vera bottles handy, one in the kitchen and one safely tucked away in my hand bag. Using public transport often, taking children to nursery or to doctor appointments can make them and including myself more vulnerable to infections; so therefore having one in my hand bag is highly useful.

==WHAT IS CAREX HAND GEL WITH ALOE VERA==

Carex Hand Gel Aloe Vera comes in a handy compact sized bottle that contains a gel that effectively cleans hands without the need of any water, the instantly absorbs into the skin using the added ingredient Aloe Vera to keep skin nice and soft.

==PACKAGING==

The gel comes in a 50ml sized transparent bottle made of plastic. On the front the blue Carex logo is clearly visible, along with information of what the gel is (hand gel) and that it kills 99.9% of bacteria. The ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle.

Ingredients: Alcohol Denat.,Aqua ,Glycerin ,Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract ,Carbomer ,Parfum ,Citric Acid ,Potassium Sorbate ,Aminomethyl Propanol ,Benzophenone-1 ,Limonene ,Linalool ,Hexyl Cinnamal ,Butylphenyl Methylpropional ,Geraniol ,Citronellol ,CI 19140 ,CI 42090

The packaging also states that it is flammable and should be kept away from sources of ignition, as well as clearly stating instructions of use.
The bottle has a plastic lid on top a pump to prevent the gel from leaking. The pump is just underneath the lid and is where the gel comes out of. The gel in appearance is a green colour, which in my opinion shows the inclusion of the Aloe Vera plant extract and gives it a more natural appearance.
The bottle also states that each bottle contains 100 applications. In my opinion the bottle lasts me a good few months, with two or three applications per day. So you do get a lot in a 50 ml bottle.

==PUT TO THE TEST==

Push down the pump to dispense the gel onto the hands. I then gently rub the gel onto my hands thoroughly. I found that the gel almost instantly absorbs into the skin, leaving them nice a soft thanks to the added element of Aloe Vera. This is great, as I tend to suffer from sensitive skin that can get easily dry after using hand wash or other hand gels, but thankfully this left my hands feeling smooth and clean. It does have a soapy type fragrance, as well as a small scent of alcohol; which was expected due to its high alcohol content. However the fragrance is not over powering and just lingers for a few minutes, which I personally liked as I just wanted a simple hand gel that did not give off too much scent.

As it dries so quickly, it saves a lot of time from using hand washes with water and the added time need to use a paper towel to dry the wet hands. Therefore I found this Carex hand gel not only to be effective but also very convenient.

I like the fact that it comes in a compact pocket size bottle, making it even more easily readily available. All I have to do is pop it out of my hand bag or pocket and apply it and pop in back into my handbag.

==PRICE==

I purchased mine from Tesco at around £1.00 for a 50ml bottle. It is also available at boots but at a higher price of £1.45. It also comes in a 200ml sized bottle priced at £2.69 from boots, however I find it hard to find the 200ml bottle at Tesco, so it is worth shopping around to look for offers etc.

==VERDICT==

In conclusion I would highly recommend this product. It comes in a handy pocket sized bottle making it very easy to carry around when out and about. The gel is fast absorbent, easy to apply, and leaves hands feeling soft and dry. The fact that it kills 99.9% of bacteria is a huge plus, and has probably saved my young relatives and family members from catching bugs and viruses. The bottle lasts me for a good length of time, making it value of money.
