Advantages: Cleans hands well, kills germs
Disadvantages: Little drying
I always keep a bottle of hand wash by our sink in the kitchen as it is handy for washing my hands before preparing food. I like a decent brand as I find them less drying, but I don't like to spend a fortune.
At present I have Carex Sensitive Hand Wash. This is a 250ml bottle which costs around £1.00 which is good value for money in my opinion for a decent brand. It is a small plastic bottle with a pump action top.
To dispense you simply push down on the pump and it releases a small amount of the liquid at a time. I find that two pumps is enough to do both hands effectively.
This is suitable for sensitive skin which is handy and I have found that as it obviously contains less harsher chemicals than others I have tried, it is less drying on the hands and doesn't irritate the skin as much.
The liquid itself has a nice consistency as it isn't too thin and watery, but isn't too thick and gloopy either. It isn't too sticky and once water is added, it turns into a nice soapy lather which then cleanses the hands thoroughly.
There isn't a scent to this one as such, but it doesn't smell too nasty or clinical either. In fact, it doesn't smell of anything much, but that's fine as who smells your hands anyway?
The hand wash not only cleans the hands well, but it kills the germs and bacterial on your hands too which is quite essential when handling good. It gives me the confidence that I am preparing food without transferring any nasty bugs onto the food.
Although this isn't anywhere near as drying as others I have tried, I still feel the need for a separate hand cream after using this stuff, but I haven't found it irritates my skin at all.
Overall, this is an excellent hand wash that is really good value for money. It cleans as well as gets rid of germs so you get 2 actions for the price of 1 with this hand wash. For the price of £1.00, you really can't go wrong with this hand wash and therefore it comes with a high recommendation from me.
Summary: A really good hand wash from the Carex range
