CATH KIDSTON WILD ROSE HAND CREAM

I am a regular user of hand moisturising products as I can't stand dry rough hands so I do my best to moisturise my hands as often as possible. I have in the past used a variety of products; I have liked some and disliked others. I got this hand moisturiser as a gift and this is my first time of using Cath Kidston products.

~Availability and Price~

The cream is manufactured by Cath Kidston, London, a UK based company. The cream is just one of the toiletry product ranges they manufacture. In the UK, I have not seen the cream in most high street supermarkets and pharmacies which sell toiletry as I had expected. It is available from John Lewis, Ocado and various online stores as well as from Amazon in the Health and Beauty Category.

In the UK, the cream is available in 100g tubes and the price ranges around £8.00.

~Packaging and Visibility~

The cream comes in a white tube packed in a white box with very colourful floral images printed all over the box. The front of the box has big text of "Cath Kidston wild flowers" and the product name "Wild Rose Hand Cream" clearly visible in pink in a central position and just below it is the weight of the contents. In my view the product would be clearly outstanding and visible and couldn't be missed amongst other products.

The front of the tube has the label text with the words "Cath Kidston wild flowers" and the product name "Wild Rose Hand Cream" clearly visible in pink. Additionally there is a colourful image of a floral plant and the weight of the contents. Other information including the product name in other languages, and manufacturer information and the ingredients is printed on the other side of the tube.

The tube is made of thin metal and has a white plastic screw on lid. The tube is also made of good quality thin metal which is crack free, soft to press and allows easy squeezing to release the cream. The cream pours out well from the bottle but careful if you squeeze too hard, too much of the cream will ooze out resulting in wastage.

Environment wise, the tube can be recycled which is a good for the environment.

~Composition and Application~

The ingredients in the cream seem well balanced. The cream is white in colour, has a smooth non runny consistence and is also non greasy.

It is fairly easy to apply but a bit of massaging into the skin and along the nails always gives best results. It is easily absorbed into the skin and leaves the skin with a soft and refreshing feeling. The cream keeps the skin fairly moisturised without the greasiness associated with other creams.

According to the manufacturer, the cream moisturises and protects your hands and contains ingredients which also help strengthen your nails.

~Scent~

The smell is very nice and the presence of rose based fragrance in this cream is obvious. All the roses I know I very pleasant and this is no exception. In my view the smell is not at all overpowering.

I would say this cream is ideal for women but some men may also like it.

The cream is meant to be suitable for all skin types but like everything associated with people, the cream may not be suitable for everyone.

~Summary~

I have been using this cream for almost four months and I agree, my hands feel really good and my nails are also responding very well to this cream. It's just a shame that I can't keep long nails so I have to cut them. The smell is delightful and the texture and thickness of the cream is just perfect with the added advantage of being non greasy. I keep this in my bag and whenever I use, especially at work, my colleagues ask comment about the lovely smell .

This is really a good quality product and for the good job it does, I would certainly recommend it. In my view it is rather expensive so not sure many would buy it including myself but we all have different buying powers so if you can afford it, go for it. I really appreciate mine and thank the one who sacrificed to give it to me as a gift.
