Champneys Hand & Nail Cream
Advantages: leaves my hands feeling soft and moisurised. Lovely scent
Disadvantages: bit expensive
I am a fan of the Elemis range of beauty products and that includes their hand cream. However for my birthday recently I received a tube of Champneys hand and nail cream. I had never tried any of the Champneys products so was interested to see what this hand and nail cream was like.
Champneys own 4 luxury spa hotels where their products are used. The range includes the hand and nail cream. The outer box oozes style in cream and gold with the inside printed with small gold flowers. The 75 ml tube is designed to sit on its flip up gold lid. The tube is clear allowing the rich hand cream to show through. The lettering is gold and completes the top end look of the product.
This hand cream contains Vitamins A,E and Pro Vitamin B5. Vitamin C and liquorice extract are added to help reduce the appearance of age spots and protect against the drying effects of the elements. Champneys claim that using this hand and nail cream will leave your hands feeling soft and supple.
I have been using this hand and nail cream on a daily basis for several weeks now. I love the delicate scent although am not sure exactly what it is ! It is fresh and slightly flora but not overpowering as some brand can be. It reminds me of summer and that makes me happy! The cream itself is a rich cream colour and dispenses easily from the tube. The cream is easily absorbed and I find I only need a small amount. The results are instant and my hands immediately feel softer and moisturised after application. I do have a few sun damage spots on my hands and despite the manufacturers claims. I can see no difference in these. I suffer from brittle nails that tend to split and break easily, especially during the cold winter months. I am not sure whether using this cream has made any real difference to the condition of my nails although they do seem a little better.
Overall I really like this hand cream as it does leave my hands feeling soft and the skin less dry. I am not sure that I prefer it to Elemis, but it is a close one! The scent is lovely and doses seem to last well. As this was a present I am not sure how much was paid. However I can see that Boots sells this range and this product is available for £6.
