Champneys Vitamiracle Hand & Nail Cream
Advantages: Softens hands
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
I am a big fan of Champneys beauty products the only problem I have is finding a stockist that sells the whole range, as I said in a previous Champneys review they do have limited stock at Sainsbury, but it is a bit hit and miss on what they will stock week by week so I buy direct from champneys website www.champneys.com . You need to spend £50.00 to get free delivery so I wait until I need a good bit then order all in one go.
On one of my recent spends I bought Champneys Vitamiracle rejuvenating hand and nail cream, which promises to strengthen nails, and protect and sooth your hands, it also promises to help reduce age spots and protect your skin from premature signs of ageing.
It is enriched with Pro-vitamin B5, blended Vitamins A and E, liquorice extracts and vitamin C; it also has UVA/UVB sun screens.
This is quite an expensive product for me to use all day after each washing of my hands so I use a cheaper hand cream for this purpose during the day, but have been using Vitamiracle for about a two weeks after the last wash before bedtime.
The tube is the upside down version which is great, as the hand cream is always ready to come out when the top is opened, then you can squeeze a little bit out easily. The first thing I noticed about the hand cream is it absorbes quickly and the hands feel refreshed at once. When I saw the ingredient listed as liquorice extract I was doubtful thinking that is what it is going to smell like, but I was pleasantly surprised, I cannot detect a hint of liquorice, it has a light fresh citrus smell. My hands felt smooth on the first application, I rubbed well into the hands and then put a little dot on each nail and rubbed it in, and then let it do its miracle overnight.
My hands have improved they feel more soft and silky, and my nails look nourished too. I am middle aged, but cannot really tell whether the claim for a reduction in the appearance of age spots is true as I am fortunate that I have not got any yet, but having had dry skin all my life my hands sometimes tend to look old and tired, but since using this each night overnight when it gets the full benefit of being able to soak in for around 8 hours my hands do look softer and in better condition more so than when I used my every day hand cream overnight, but my every day hand cream does a reasonable job so I am not sure whether the vast price different would be worth a repeat buy. I think this would be an item that I would put on my birthday/Christmas list and let someone else foot the bill! Then use it for a few nights before going out for a special occasion.
Champneys rejuvenating hand and nail cream is £8.00 from Champneys website for 100mil tube, which is over 4 times the cost of my normal hand cream.
Summary: Nice gift idea
