Collection Bedazzle Nail Effects
Advantages: Gives a nice glittery effect that lasts a couple of days
Disadvantages: Drying time
If I am honest I have not bought any products from collection 2000 since I was a teenager, I tend to associated the brand with cheap low quality cosmetics. However, whilst in my local Boots just before Christmas a display caught my eye, it seemed the brand has been revamped and brought more up to date, the "2000" has been dropped and the brand is now simply titled "Collection". The first product to go into my basket was the "Bedazzled" Nail effects as I had been on the look out for a sparkly nail polish I could wear over the Christmas season. According to the Boots website there are Four colours to choose from, however only one was available in my store which was titled "tea at glitz" which is gold and black glitter.
The glitter nail effect is presented in a 6ml glass container. The container is transparent so the product can easily be seen, this makes choosing a shade super easy. The brand and product name are displayed on the front of the bottle along with some white stars. An ingredients list and some general warnings are given on the back . Directions for use suggest using bedazzled nail effects as a top coat over your favorite nail shade or alternatively it can be wore alone. The screw of lid is black with a silver holographic sticker around it. I really love the packaging, I find it funky, fresh and very appealing.
I was going out with some friends and decided to try out my new Collection Bedazzled Nail effects. After applying some black nail polish I added my "tea at the glitz", it only took one coat to give a great glittery effect that I was very pleased with. I would say that it did take a little longer to dry than I would have liked. There was no chipping however and the nail effect stayed on my nails for a couple of days before it needed touching up. A few wipes with some nail polish remover on a cotton wall ball was all it took to remove the product from my nails.
Last week I decided to try the nail effect on nude nails as I was curious as to how it would look. It took three coats to acheive a look I was happy with, although I guess this is just down to personal taste. I actually really liked the look and often had my nails painted this way over the Christmas period.
Collection Bedazzled Nail Effects is available in the following shades:
Tea at Glitz
They are currently available in Boots priced at £2.99
I am certainly going to try out the other shades in the range, hopefully they will be available in my local boots but if not I will be ordering online.
Summary: A great glittery nail effect at a decent price, well worth a go!
