      Rosewater cream

Whenever I think of Crabtree and Evelyn I always think of the Friends episode when Rachel asks Phoebe if she wants anything from Crabtree and Evelyn and she replies oh yes, bathsalts. That was quite a few years ago now and before then I had never heard of them but I am a big fan of their lovely upmarket products now. There was a nice little shop where I used to work in London that sold their products and I must admit I was hooked from then on.

They do a number of different ranges in different scents but one of my favourite ranges is their rosewater. I like this for two reasons, one, the smell is delicious and two, the design of the roses on all the products in the range is really beautiful. I originally bought some products for my mum one Christmas as they are quite a nice mum gift to buy but was hooked not he lovely scent and now buy some for myself and my house.

The rose water scent is light and delicate and not at all flowery and overpowering. I like that it gives a hint of rose, one of my favourite smells out in a proper garden and I think they have really captured this fragrance well. In fact, Crabtree and Evelyn actually say that this is a delicate rose bouquet with fresh leafy green top notes. The packaging of the rosewater hand and body lotion is beautiful and looks great for a lotion that you leave in a guest bathroom. The bottle comes with a pump action at the top to allow you to get the lotion out easily and then on the front is a lovely old fashioned label saying Rosewater with beautiful pink roses as the emblem on it. It looks expensive and it is fairly expensive, at £20 a 250ml bottle but like I said if its for decoration as a guest lotion or as a gift I think it is worth the extra. I would not use this as an everyday body lotion because it is so expensive but now and again its lovely.

The lotion itself is formulated with vitamin E and glycerin. Anything with glycerin is perfect for my skin as I find it really coats my skin and keeps the moisture locked in as it has that smooth paraffin like grease to it without actually being greasy and clock. It really sticks to your hands and makes them nice and soft for quite a long time during the day. All in all a really nice cream.
