Advantages: Leaves hands clean and smellign like freshly washed clothes

Disadvantages: None

I mentioned a little while ago that I had picked up a buy one get one free offer in Tesco for Imperial Leather handwashes, which was a great offer at the time, given that a 300ml usually costs around £1.45. I tend to go for whatever handwash is on offer at the time, although I do think that dove products stand out. The last Imperial Leather handwash that I reviewed which was one of the buy one get one free items was the jasmine touch, and I was very impressed. Well, the handwash in our ensuite ran out at the start of the week, and so I opened this cotton soft handwash, which again, I had previously never tried.

I personally think the Imperial Leather handwash bottles are very stylish and do look very nice on your bathroom sink, especially compared with some cheaper brands. I'm afraid when picking my two imperial leather handwashes, I went by looks rather than anything else. The Jasmine touch was a very pretty colour, and I thought the white handwash that was seen through the clear bottle, looked rich and luxurious.

On the front of the bottle, it states that this is a 'moisturising hand wash' and includes a mix of 'cottom milk and oat extract' It also claims to be hypoallergenic and thus suitable even for sensitive skin like I have. On the reverse of the bottle, there are further claims by Imperial leather that this handwash offers a 'rich, fragrant and creamy lather' which will leave your hands feelign 'healthy, supply and soft'. The addition of the cotton milk is supposedly due to its skin soothing benefits, whereas, the oat extract has been added for its moisturising properties. It also claims to be a handwash that is mild enough for the whole family to use.

When you dispense the handwash from the bottle, it does look and feel rich and luxurious, but at the same time lathers well to make you feel you are really cleaning your hands. There is a lovely fresh smell, the kind of smell that you associate with clean fresh clothes, and what I love is that it lingers on your hands for quite a while even after you have washed them. It gives them a really clean feeling and smell. In terms of moisturising properties, I do find that my skin feels soft and smooth, and although we have had a spot of good weather again, and therefore my hands are less likely to be dry, I think this handwash does help keep them soft and smooth and well moisturised.

Overall, I think when you are getting this handwash on offer at buy one get one free, you really cannot go wrong. At full price, as much as I like it, I don't know I would want to spend that on any handwash if I am tototally truthful, as I usually stock up when there are supermarket offers. I don't think it is any better that some other leading brands, which is why at full price I am unlikely to buy it, however when on offer, I will certainly purchase this again.

Summary: A rich luxurious handwash
