I first tried the Di Palomo brand when I received a tube of their Wild Fig and Grape hand cream in a beauty box. I loved the scent so much that I went on to own several products in the same fragrance. I had never tried any of the other scents by this brand, so when I opened a beauty box to find a tube of the White Grape with Aloe hand cream I was really excited to try it out.

I loved the sleek black packaging of the Wild Fig and Grape product, so the packaging of the White Grap with Aloe was rather disappointing to me. There's nothing wrong with it as such, but the plain white background with what looks like a green sketch of a bunch of grapes and a leaf is quite boring in my opinion.

Di Palomo products are made in England, but 'Inspired by Italy'. This particular cream includes lots of lovely ingredients to benefit the skin. A few of the key ones are grapeseed oil, olive fruit oil, aloe vera extract and grape extract. Di Palomo describe this as being deeply moisturising and nourishing.

The hand cream itself is white and is fairly thick, yet feels light when it is massaged into the skin. Given the amazing fragrance of the first Di Palomo hand cream I used, I was expecting this to be equally lovely. Unfortunately I have found the scent of this to be quite mediocre. It has a very light, barely there fragrance, which is slightly fruity, yet doesn't really smell of anything in particular to me. I certainly wasn't blown away by it and it hasn't inspired me to want to try any of the matching products.

As a hand cream I find this works quite well. I have quite dry skin all year around but at this time of year I go through a huge amount of hand cream. This cream sinks in quite quickly, although there is a slight greasy film left behind. It's not too bad, I can still type and use a mouse, which is important to me, as I have an office job. That said, I would of course prefer the grease not to be there!

I do find that where my skin is quite tight and sore, this provides instant relief and has made my hands feel soft and supple with regular use. I have also found it to be quite effective around my cuticles, which are softer and less raggy looking than they are when I don't use any product at all.

A 75ml tube of this cream costs £7 from John Lewis or £8.40 from Amazon.

Overall, I think this is a nice hand cream, but I certainly wasn't 'wowed' by it. It smells nice, but nothing special and leaves a slightly greasy feeling to my hands yet does moisturise well. I personally don't think it is worth £7 and there's nothing about it that stands out well enough for me to want to buy it again, so I wouldn't really recommend it - I'd suggest going for the Wild Fig and Grape version instead.
