Advantages: Beautiful scent and really moisturising
Disadvantages: None for me
My Secret Santa in the office last year bought me a tube of Di Palomo Wild Fig & Grape hand cream which I was very pleased with receiving given the look of some of the other members of staff gifts!
Di Palomo
Di Palomo is a brand that I was not familiar with until I received this hand cream last Christmas. The company itself is based in England, but is 'inspired by Italy'. Di Palomo makes luxury bath and body products, as well as fragrances and candles that are created from the designers visits to Italy. See www.dipalomo.com for products and info.
Wild Fig & Grape Hand & Nail Cream
The Di Palomo hand cream comes in a lovely decorative cardboard box, which matches the tube inside perfectly. The packaging and tube itself is an all over burnt orange colour with lovely elegant brown fig leaf and grape silhouettes patterned around it. The back of the tube has the ingredients list and a description of the product.
The tube itself is a 75 ml size and is tall, thin and cylindrical in shape. The cream has a screw on and off cap that the product can be stood on when not in use.
Application
To use the hand and nail cream you simply squeeze some of the salve out of the tube onto your hands, and then massage the cream all over your hands and nails until it has been absorbed. A pea sized amount is generous enough to cover all over the front and back of my hands as well as my nails I find.
Smell
The chief ingredients in this hand cream are the wild fig and grape and these come across well in the hand creams scent. The perfume to this hand cream is quite soft and gentle but very sweet and invigorating at the same time. The fig has a lovely deep and sugary musk to it and the grape gives it a more fruity twist. On first applying the cream the scent is quite rich and detectable and this obviously fades slightly after a time during wear, but you just reapply a little bit and voila its back. It really is a gorgeous and alluring smell.
Moisturising Properties
The hand and nail cream contains Grapeseed oil, Olive oil and fig fruit extract which together bring vitamins A & D to the hand cream. The hand cream absorbs into your skin very quickly and easily and leaves a lovely moisturised feel to your skin. It almost feels like a mask for your hands, it has very soft and protective properties after application. This, combined with its lovely scent makes it a really good hand and nail cream by my estimations.
A 75 ml tube of this Di Palomo product costs £7 which is quite pricey for a hand cream, but it is very good quality and moisturises your hands beautifully combined with a lovely figgy scent, which definitely makes it worth the money. This is available online and in department stores.
Summary: Beautiful scent and really moisturising hand and nail cream from Di Palomo
