My bottle of Di Palomo liquid soap was a Christmas gift from my fiancé. I was really surprised when I opened this, as I already had the hand cream and had been saying how much I loved the scent, but when I talk about these kind of things, my fiancé always has a very blank look on his face, so I was pleased to realise he is actually taking some notice of me. The hand wash comes in a box, which I feel is a slight waste of packaging. It does of course make it look more presentable when given as a gift, however it's not really necessary. The bottle inside is lovely though and I think it's quite attractive. It's black in colour which I think it quite unusual for a beauty product and has a orangey-brown label decorated with silhouettes of figs and grapes, in keeping with other products in the range. The pump can be twisted to lock into place and there is a little piece of elastic with a faux suede fig leaf tied around the neck of the bottle. The only real claim this product makes is that it's moisturising and according to the website it also includes an anti-bacterial agent. I suffer from dry skin on my hands, which is prone to eczema, so a moisturising hand wash is exactly what I need. The anti-bacterial claim is also something I like, as it gives peace of mind. When dispensed the liquid soap is a beautiful raspberry colour. It looks gorgeous and smells even better. The scent of this product is in keeping with other products in Di Palomo's Wild Fig & Grape range. I'd say this smells predominantly of figs with a sharper twist that comes from the grape. It's very fruity, uplifting and smells luxurious. I really can't get enough of this fragrance and if I could I'd buy the whole product line! I've put this in my downstairs loo and every visitor who has used this, has complimented it and said how lovely the scent is, so I'm not alone! The soap is a lovely thick consistency and one pump is sufficient to get my hands clean. It lathers up well and feels silky against the skin. It rinses away easily to leave my hands clean and soft. Best of all that beautiful smell lingers for absolutely ages afterwards. I do not particularly think that this moisturising if I'm being honest, however it is not drying on my hands either and causes no irritation. It also seems to fare well at getting strong scents out of my hands, as when I got scented oil on my hands from a reed diffuser, this got rid of the scent quickly. The price of this product is not particularly cheap. I normally don't like to spend more than £1 on a hand wash and this one costs £8 from John Lewis or £7.20 from www.feelunique.com. Despite how much I love this product, I don't think I could bring myself to pay so much for a hand wash! I guess that means that in the future I will have to look out for special offers, or rely on receiving it as a gift! On the whole this is a lovely product. The scent is unbelievably gorgeous and it lasts well on the skin. The product feels lovely when you use it too and is packaged well. The only downside is the price - other than that I would fully recommend it.
