I picked up a bottle of this dove beauty cream wash under the 'purely pampering' heading as I noted its key ingredient was shea butter with warm vanilla and this really appealed to me.
Since the picture, this has been updated to a cream and gold accent bottle. It looks expensive. The top is a typical pump dispenser which is great for hand washing.
I use one pump which provides plenty for both hands and a great lather is achieved quite quickly. The product is creamy coloured and quite thick and luxurious. After the rinse, the hands are soft and fragranced and most importantly feel moisturised for ages afterwards.
I paid around the £2 mark for this 250ml bottle.
I find the packaging a bit confusing with this. Although I picked it up in the hand wash aisle, there is no where on the bottle that indicates this is actually for hands. It is simply titled a beauty cream wash and there are no instructions on the back. I don't need hand washing instructions particularly and the packaging is typical of a hand wash style but I just wondered why it didn't make reference to hands really.
I really like this dove hand wash. It smells divine and feels a bit special. All the family have happily used it and I think it might be worth paying a little more for. Its fragrance is lovely and long lasting and it feels like a real treat for the hands. I will definitely buy this again, it is so nice and comes highly recommended.
I really love using the whole range of Dove products and everything I have tried so far has not disappointed. The latest Dove product I have tried has been their Beauty Cream Wash which comes in a rounded shape white and blue plastic pump dispenser bottle. I have almost finished my bottle now but I have another spare one underneath my kitchen sink.
The reason I love this hand wash so much is because it is rich and creamy. It creates a really luxurious feeling lather on my hands, which rinses off surprisingly well. However, the best thing about this liquid soap has to be its fragrance. It is fresh and delicate and yet gently floral at the same time. My husband usually moans at me if I buy anything that he terms "too scented", and yet even he has commented upon how nice this liquid soap smells.
The other thing I really love about this Beauty Cream Wash is that the fragrance lasts on my hands for ages after I have used it. It seems to moisturise and hydrate the skin on my hands after I have used it and yet it also has the ability to rid my hands of strong cooking smells, such as chopped onion, which is a real bonus as far as I am concerned.
The bottle also states that this product can be used on the face. I have yet to try this out for myself, however my husband assures me that it feels great and doesn't dry his face out at all. I will be brave at some stage and try it on my face, but at the moment I am only using it on my hands as that is the sole purpose as to why I bought this product in the first place, not having even realised it was even suitable for washing the face until I had bought it and read the blurb on the back of the bottle.
I paid only £2.39 for my 250ml bottle and I have been delighted with it on all fronts and have no complaints whatsoever.
Another fantastic Dove product, and highly recommended.
I have been using this product for as long as I can remember as a product to use after I have been to the toilet. I will not use a bar of soap that I use with my morning wash or at night when I have just been to the toilet. The product smells really nice and is of that as of any Original Dove product. Such as the soap, shower gel or shampoo. The product makes your hands feel soft and smooth and it moisturises well. The product container is in a lovely oval shape and is white. The lid is blue and need to be pushed to dispense the liquid inside. The front of the container has the branding name of the product and the logo. The back has the ingredients and directions written in the same colour blue on the front.
COST & RECOMMEND
I bought this product for £1.00 on offer in many places and sometimes you can get deals where you get two for £1.50. I would highly recommend this product as it is very efficient and keeps you clean. I have also read that it can be used on the face which is why it is called body wash. So in fact, this product has more than one desirable use. Though I just use it on my hands as directed.
I've been a fan of Dove for a good number of years and enjoy using their shower creams, particularly as they are highly moisturising for the skin on my body. Due to my positive experiences I decided to make a purchase of their liquid soap named Beauty Cream Wash with this review discussing my experience with using.
I find all of Dove products to be very appealing to the eye due to the plain white packaging with touches of blue and gold, which gives the distinct impression of clean and fresh. The Beauty Cream Wash is presented in a sturdy plastic bottle containing 250 ml of product with the pump dispenser being of a deep blue colour. I am unfortunate to suffer with problematic skin on my hands, which are often extremely dry and as a result, will split and bleed, so I had high hopes for the wash due to the fact that a quarter of its contents are a moisturising cream.
The pump dispenser enables a sufficient amount of the pure white cream wash to be released with a single press and I would describe its consistency to be very luxurious, as it is considerably thicker than any other brand I've used. The texture is very similar to that of a body cream and despite the fact that it is fairly thick it is effortlessly spread over the surface of the skin where it creates a gentle yet plentiful lather when introduced to water.
Discussing the stunning aroma is a little difficult, particularly as I cannot pinpoint anything specific. However, my sense of smell is able to pick up the unique and very luxurious creaminess, which is offered by all Dove products, together with a delicate and favourable floral aroma that I feel to be well suited to both men and women. The wash effectively cleanses my hands of any dirt and impurities and whilst being describe by Dove as gentle, it is tough enough to remove any grease after I've been cooking.
It is rinsed away with minimal effort, which is the point that I am able to witness the highly effective moisturising cream ingredient, as the surface of my skin is left feeling silky soft and smooth as well as being fully hydrated. Despite the cream wash containing moisturising cream, I cannot speak of any stickiness or residue, as it is all washed away with the exception of the moisturising properties, which clearly continue to work on my skin.
Dove advises on the reverse of the packaging that the cream wash is also suitable for use on the face, which I initially believed to be a rather bold claim. As my skin can be described as T-zone where I suffer with oil on my nose and forehead with dry patches on my cheeks, I am always a little apprehensive when using new products, as obviously I do not wish to exacerbate the problem.
I need not have been concerned as the wash was very gentle as I massaged it over the surface of my skin with its texture and results reminding me of a creamy facial cleanser. I must admit that I found the cream wash to be much more favourable than a specifically designed facial wash, as it wasn't at all harsh with it leaving my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturised. Whilst it did not cause my skin to feel tight, which is often the case with some products, I felt it necessary to apply my favourite moisturising product, as it wasn't quite effective enough on the dry patches, which I experience on my cheeks.
A point I love in terms of using the cream wash on both my hands and face is that the gorgeous aroma lingers for an hour or so afterwards. I must admit that I have never experienced any negative effects with using any of Dove's products, which I believe to be due to the fact that they all contain moisturising cream and a skin pH neutral formulation.
The only downside is that the cream wash generally retails at £2.30 for a 250 ml bottle, which I feel is rather excessive. However, at the time of writing, you can make a purchase in Boots for just £1.15 and as a result I have stocked up on my supplies. Due to the reasons discussed above, I am able to make a high recommendation and award five stars.
I hope you found my review useful and thanks for reading.
