I found this to be a rather average hand wash which is let down a bit by a poorly designed pump action which fails to dispense the full contents of the container and leads to a bit of waste unless you go through the messy process of removing the lid and tipping out the remaining soap to be able to get to it. It cost £1.60 for a 250ml bottle which is a little on the high side compared with the supermarket own label brands which are just as good in my opinion. In terms of cleaning quality I cannot fault this product, it smells a little like aloe vera with that feint cucumber like smell to it, it is a nice fresh clean smell that lingers on my skin after rinsing the soap of. It has a rich creamy consistency and really does lather up nicely and you only need a small amount, fortunately when it works the pump delivers just about the right amount with a relatively light pumping action, if you press down too firmly you will get too much and then you will end up wasting some. The bottle is a light minty green colour with a twist to release pump and nice easy to read lettering. I like that this soap leaves my hands feeling fresh and clean and also the soap does not dry my hands out too much even though I generally will apply a hand cream on occasions it is quite creamy itself and has a gentle feel to it. It is very effective at removing dirt and marks from the skin and it has a nice moisturising effect. If they could improve the hand pump then I would certainly buy this again but because of teh hassle with it I will probably not bother unless it was on offer.
I have always liked Dove products and as such always used to get Dove gift sets for Christmas however last year my Mam decided to do me a Dove hamper herself deciding that it was much better value and this was one of the products inside. I like the fresh touch from the Dove range and this is part of that range so I already knew I would love the smell of it, it is well fresh! It has a really clean smell with a hint of cucumber which I find really nice and the smell remains on your hands for a little while which is nice. The soap comes in a frosted pale mint green bottle which has a pump top on it, just like most pump bottles it is a simple twist to open and then once open I leave it that way so it is easier for my daughter to use by herself. The soap is thick in consistency and one pump is enough to give your hands a decent clean although if you have really dirty hands then I would possibly use two pumps. The soap lathers up nicely and is pretty easy to rinses away from my hands although there are soaps that are easier to rinse and I find if you don't rinse properly then there feels like there is a thin layer left on your hands. My hands feel moisturised after using this handwash which is great for me as I suffer with contact dermatitis which makes my fingers very sore. The only real drawback of this handwash is the pump doesn't go far enough down the bottle and you can feel that there is plenty left inside which is of course very wasteful. When we finished our bottle I unscrewed the pump top and I just tipped the soap onto my hands to use it up this of course would be no good for a small child to use like this but I don't like waste so wanted to use it up. The handwash comes in a 250ml bottle and costs between £1.50 and £1.75 so it isn't one I would buy again simply because the other brands are often on offer at £1 so I don't think it is worth paying more for.
Dove Go Fresh Touch Liquid Hand Wash is something that I've used fairly regularly off and on for about a year. I currently have one bottle sat in three of my bathrooms. I'm not a far of bars of soap generally as I don't find the idea of it very hygienic, and so I prefer to opt for liquid soap in my bathrooms. A bottle of the Dove Go Fresh Touch Liquid Hand Wash cost me £1.47 and it was currently reduced from £2.20 - which is quite a significant saving and makes the product even more viable. The liquid soap comes in a clean white bottle and has a picture of a slice of cucumber on the front. It has a pump on the top of the bottle which serves as the dispenser. The dispenser is initially locked when first bought and then you need to turn the pump lid in order to open the dispenser - and then it's just a matter of pushing the pump down to release some of the liquid soap. The pump works well and I find one push of the pump delivers enough soap for one hand washing cycle. The only annoying thing about the pump is that when the bottle is almost empty then the pump will not deliver the soap - and I end up having to unscrew the lid and tip the soap out that way. The soap is fairly thick and rich, and the fragrance of it is very much of cucumber and therefore it's really fresh and natural smelling. The fragrance is strong when it comes out of the bottle but when the soap has been rinsed off my hands then it just leaves a mild, subtle fragrance. It does leave my hands feeling clean and really well moisturised and it doesn't leave me with that horrible dry sensation that I find is left after using some soaps. Overall, I think this is a good product and I will continue to use it.
When it comes to hand wash I usually buy whatever's on offer as I prefer to go for brand names just because I often find they work out cheaper in the long run as they usually last longer. I didn't actually pay for Dove Fresh Touch Liquid Hand wash, my Mum had bought it on offer at Asda and loved it so gave me a bottle, I think she'd paid £3.50 for 3 250ml bottles. It usually costs £1.50 per bottle in Asda which I don't think is a bad price anyway but it's a bit more expensive that I usually pay for Carex. The hand wash is available all over; it's in my supermarkets, Boots and Wilko's. The hand wash comes in a white plastic bottle, it certainly has a fresh and clean appearance to match with the product but I usually prefer clear bottles as you can see how much soap is left. The bottle clearly displays the Dove logo as well as a picture of a slice of cucumber and a leaf (presumably green tea to match with the scent of the hand wash). The bottle has a pump top lid which enables you to get out just the right amount; the only snag is it's hard to get all the soap of the bottom and this makes it a little wasteful. In use, the hand wash smells lovely, really fresh, and the texture is very creamy and feels quite luxurious. The soap lathers well and as it's so thick and creamy I find a small blob usually goes the trick for a really decent wash of my hands. My hands always feel extra clean after washing with Dove hand wash as well as feeling really soft and nourished. Long term I've noticed my hands are definitely feeling a lot more moisturised which is always a good thing especially as the weather's taking a turn for the worse and I always seem to get dry hands. The scent linger really well on the skin which, as I enjoy the scent is obviously a good thing, it also helps to contribute to my hands feeling cleaner for longer. Although I do really like Dove Fresh Touch as a product, as it does feel like a luxury hand wash and makes my hands feel lovely there's a couple of things that hold it back. Firstly, it's a little bit more expensive than I like to pay, especially as the bottle size isn't that big. Secondly, the packaging isn't very well thought through, there's loads of hand wash left in the bottom after use because the pump's no good and because the bottle isn't clear you can't see through at how much hand wash is left. Having said that the hand wash did leave my hands soft, clean and smelling lovely, Dove have got a great product here.
I am quite a big fan of Dove products and so I purchased this when it was on offer from Asda. The packaging is very attractive and is a creamy white which suits my bathroom, although of course this is not the most important factor! the product is available in different scents but the one I purchased was the cucumber and green tea. The soap is described as 'beauty cream wash' which sounds rather fancy but it's just because on the back it says it is also suitable to be used as a facial cleanser. It's quite handy if you want a two in one or just if you've run out of cleanser and need a quick alternative. I mainly use it as a hand wash but occasionally use it to cleanse my face. A quarter of the creamy wash is moisturizing cream which is very good because when you use it it doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and is why it is also a very good facial cleanser. The fragrance is supposed to be cucumber and green tea which sounds interesting and refreshing but in fact the smell is quite artificial and the cucumber and green tea extracts aren't recognizable. On the other hand the smell is quite nice but just not as described and as I would have imagined it to be. The cream is a thick light green creamy soap. You don't have to use a lot to get the desired effect and just lather up like any other hand wash. Using it is quite refreshing and your hands do truly feel softer afterwards. I would definitely recommend this product it's very convenient and looks very stylish too. A 250ml bottle cost only £1 from Boots which is very good, especially for a Dove product which can usually be very expensive.
I always have handwash by all of the sinks in my house. I find that a lot of them leave my hands dry and sore. So I have spent the past few months trying as many as possible. I picked this particular one up in Tesco for just a £1. It comes in a white bottle with a green pump dispenser and it contains 250ml of handwash. The handwash itself contains cucumber and green tea. Dove claim that it will make your hands fresh and clean as well as moisturising them because it contains 1/4 moisturising cream. To use the handwash you simply pump a small amount out and lather under running water. The handwash when dispensed is a creamy green colour. It smells fresh, I noticed the smell of the green tea as soon as I dispensed it. The handwash lathers really well, you only need a small amount. As much as I liked the smell of this handwash I was disappointed by the 'moisturising' claims. My hands felt a little tight after using this. It states on the bottle it can be used as a facewash! after feeling how dry my hands were I wouldn't like to try this on my face! All in all this is a fairly decent handwash, it cleans hands and leaves them smelling fresh, but if like myself you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend this one, I would try the Dove original handwash which is far more moisturising.
I like to have a handwash in my bathroom as I don't like it when the soap melts away and messes up the sink, with these handy press down handwash bottles you can get a little liquid soap onto your hands easily for washing without the mess. The bottles of Dove Go Fresh Touch Liquid Hand Wash come in handy 25oml plastic bottles which can go in the recycling bin when you have emptied them, a bottle will cost you anything from £1 in a Savers shop to £1.49 in the supermarkets, this all depends on where you buy your beauty products from. The top of the bottle is the dispenser and this presses down when its in the open position to administer a little of the thick creamy liquid soap onto your hand, you can turn it to close which is a good idea if you have little children as they might play with it and use it up. The container is a sturdy and with the dispenser at the top theres no spills, which is great for a tidy sink . A little goes a long way so this is really good value for your money. The fragrance of the Dove Go Fresh Touch Liquid Hand Wash is that of cucumbers and green tea, this may seem like a strange combination but cucumbers have been used for decades to refreshen and tone the skin and the green tea is an antiseptic and soother of blemishes and spots, so its quite mild on the skin as well as being a good cleaning agent. The scent is quite strong but this isn't in a bad way its a nice cucumber scent with a hint of green tea and the liquid is a clear colour when it comes out of the dispencer. After using the handwash you can feel the hands are softer as it moisurises and cleans them, the skin is not rough or stinging and the liquid is mild and gentle. Its suitable for all types of skin. It refreshens the skin as well as cleaning it from oils and dirt. You can also use this on your face but I like to use other products on mine but Dove is well known for its gentleness in its beauty products and soaps. There are other fragances to be bought in the same range but this one is one of my favourites as it leaves my skin feeling soft and it also lathers up quickly and with no mess. If your looking for a good handwash thats a reasonable price then this one has my 9 out of 10 rating.
Dove is part of the Unilever brand. They are a beauty company offering us an extensive selection of products to keep us clean and fresh. Their range includes everything from shower gels to shampoos and handwashes to handcreams. *Product* Dove have different ranges and generally each range has their own body wash, deodorant and handwash. One of the ranges is Go Fresh. This range offers various scented products which are designed to leave the skin refreshed and clean. One of the handwashes in this range is named "Dove Go Fresh, Fresh Touch Beauty Cream Wash". Add to that tongue twister..the scent is cucumber and green tea fragrance! The handwash contains 1/4 moisturising cream and can also be used as a gentle facial wash. *Packaging* The bottle is slightly different from the one shown above. The handwash comes in a thick, off white plastic bottle which is curvy and appears thinner at the bottom of the bottle. There is a fairly chunky, light green pump dispenser on top. The Dove logo is on the front with the product information in a contrasting green. There is an image of a cucumber piece and leaf. The information on the back of the bottle includes the product blurb, ingredients ans contact details for Dove/Unilever. The bottle can be recycled and once opened should be used up within 12months. *Using* To use, you will need to rotate the dispense to allow it to face forward. If facing the side, the dispenser is locked and cannot be operated. Simply run your tap and pump a small amount of handwash onto your hands and lather it up. Rinse off and dry. *Ingredients* Aqua,Sodium Laureth Sulfate ,Sodium C12-13 Pareth Sulfate ,Cocamidopropyl Betaine ,Glycerin ,Parfum ,Acrylates Copolymer ,Camellia Sinensis ,Cucumis Sativus ,Sorbitol ,Lactic Acid ,Urea ,Sodium Lactate ,TEA-Lactate ,Serine ,Allantoin ,Isopropyl Palmitate ,Propylene Glycol ,Glycol Distearate ,Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer ,Laureth-4 ,Sodium Chloride ,Citric Acid ,Sodium Benzoate ,Potassium Sorbate ,Benzoic Acid ,Sorbic Acid ,benzyl salicylate ,butylphenyl methylpropional ,hexyl cinnamal ,limonene ,linalool ,CI 42053 ,CI 47005 *Availability and Price* The Dove handwash comes in a 250ml size and can be bought for around £1.88 in most supermarkets and chemists. It can often be found on offer. Boots currently have their range of Dove handwashes and bodywashes at £1.00. Tesco have a running promotion on this at £1.00 or 4 for £3.00. This offer is available until the end of the year. *My Opinion* I have a bit of an obsession with washing my hands. I sometimes panic that I am spreading germs or bacteria. I feel blocks of soap are unhygenic and find liquid handwashes more appropriate. I always make sure I have a stock as I use it in both my kitchen and bathroom. I buy when on offer and stock up..a bit like my obsession with fabric conditioners if I am being honest! I trust Dove products and have had good experiences with the Silk and Velvet handwashes in the range. When I recently spotted the handwashes on offer in Boots at only £1.00..I decided to try one I hadn't tried before. This is the Go Fresh one. When I hear the words "cream wash", I personally don't think of handwashes but Dove clearly do. The pump dispenser bottle is ideal as you don't need to stick your fingers in anywhere and you can easily use it with one hand. The bottle, in my opinion, is more attractive in the white shade than in the green above. It looks premium but perhaps not as luxurious as the Silk range and more practical in appearance. The texture and appearance of the handwash is also different to the others in the range. I tun my hot and cold mixer tab on a gently wet my hair and pump some handwash out. Only one pump is needed and provides an adequate amount of handwash for both your hands. The handwash is quite gel like in appearance and has a light green and almost transparent colour. The scent is gorgeous and very fresh. Cucumber and green tea is not usually my sort of scent as I prefer something fruity or sweet but I was quite suprised by this scent. The gel lathered up well and almost resembled shaving foam. It was soft and I felt my hands getting a good wash. The lather rinsed off perfectly well and I dried off my hands. Once dried, my hands did feel a little dry. This wasn't a massive problem but despite Dove stating that there is 1/4 moisturising lotion included, I don't feel that this moisturised my hands aswell as others in the range. The scent was very noticable on my hands and had developed into something quite fruity. My hands felt clean and fresh but I did feel like I needed to add some hand cream for extra moisturisation. I use this on in my kitchen and it gets used regularly throughout the day by both my and even the smelling hubby! The small amount needed to do its job is minimal and therefore the handwash lasts for ages! I do recommend it for the scent and cleaning power and of course the price but not for moisturising. Thanks for reading x
Dove fresh with cucumber and green tea is a face- and hand soap which comes in a handy dispenser. The cream-soap contains 1/4th hydrating cream. Dove found it's name and logo in its name. Dove is a part of the Unilever concern. They sell there products worldwide in more then 80 countries. they do not only distribute soaps, they also sell deodorants, cremes, shampoo's,... ***General information*** Product: Hand- and facial soap Smell: Green tea an cucumber Mark: Dove Concern: Unilever Where to find: amazon.co.uk and probably local drugstores Price: around £2,32 ***The soap*** When using the soap, the smell of green tea and cucumber comes to life. I must say I can smell the cucumber but I have a hard time smelling the green tea, as I do not know the smell of it. The soap has a light green and shining appearance. The soap is not very thick but neither runs like water. When appealed to the skin it forms a nice amount of foam. The foam is easy to wash of. After washing with the soap, the smell lags around a bit, eventually it disappears. The soap is ideal for normal day to day use but it has some difficulties for cleaning thick oil. After washing my face or hands, they feel soft and hydrated. The soap does not irritate my skin. Overall this is a nice smelling hydrating soap which can be used for face and hands. ***The bottle*** The 250 ml containing bottle has a soft green look. On the top of the bottle there is a soap dispenser. The plunger is quite handy, it makes sure not too much soap is taken form the bottle. When the bottle is not used, the dispenser can be closed by turning it left. The front of the bottle contains some basic information about the product. The back of the bottle has more detailed information. The product won't spoil for 12 months when it has been opened. Overall the bottle is handy and modern looking. ***My opinion*** The bottle looks nice and modern. The soap feels soft, makes a decent amount of foam and cleans my skin without irritating it. The smell is nice and refreshing. The dispenser can be closed so i can take it with me on a trip. The soap does not cost a great amount of money so I would say give this soap a try. ---This review has also been posted on my own personal blog---
Having been pleased with the roll on deodorant in this range by Dove, I thought I'd give the liquid handwash soap a whirl! - Price and Packaging - I bought this in Tesco's, priced at £1 for the 250ml bottle although they do have an offer on which is 4 of these for £3. This would make each one just 75p and when you compare that to the fact that some of Tesco's own brand liquid soaps that are around the £1, is a bargain! The bottle is opaque white, very simple in design with a very pale green plunger which can be turned to put it in a closed position, an advantage if you want that option but not a huge worry for me. As with most liquid soaps nowadays, it looks acceptable on the sink, no need to purchase a soap dispenser which I used to sometimes use when I have opted for much cheaper products to pretend that I haven't! I would advise you to slightly wipe the end of the nozzle with your hand after as there is sometimes a little excess which does drip down on to the sink area - not a big problem but just thought that it should be noted as some of the ones I've used don't do this. The nozzle doesn't have an open and closed option which many now have, however this isn't a big problem for me as I never use this option, once it's open it stays that way. - What do the manufacturer's say about this product? - ~ Combines active moisturising cream. ~ Clean fragrance of cucumber and green tea. ~ Makes your hands feel fresh and clean. ~ Suitable for use as a facial cleanser. - My Experience - Appearance ~ This is a transparent liquid that is quick thick in consistency. Does it lather up? ~ Yes it does, a little goes a long way so no need to go mad with the plunger! Smell ~ I really like the smell of this liquid soap. I love the smell of cucumber which is prominent in the other products I've used in the range and although I like the smell of this, it doesn't have a strong cucumber based smell. Instead, it offers a very fresh, clean smell to my hands which lingers for some time afterwards. How do my hands feel after using it? ~ This liquid soap thoroughly cleans my hands but the negative to this is that despite it's claim on the front and back of the packaging of it containing one quarter moisturising cream, it actually makes my hands feel slightly dry and I still need to use a hand cream afterwards to give that much needed bit of moisture. - General - Like all of the other dispenser style hand washes that I have used, when you get to the bottom of the container you can't get it all out so there is quite a bit of waste, unless like me you turn it upside down and pour the remains into your next supply, if you have one! - Other Dove Liquid Soap Hand Washes - ~ Supreme Luscious Velvet Beauty Cream Wash ~ Original Beauty Cream Wash ~ Supreme Fine Silk ~ Go Fresh Energise Beauty Cream Wash - Final Thoughts - Advantages ~ A lovely smell ~ Good lather ~ Much more attractive than a bar of soap on your sink, cleaner & tidier ~ Reasonably priced Disadvantages ~ Level of waste at the bottom of the bottle ~ Doesn't moisturise my skin despite it's claims. Given that this is branded as containing extra moisturisers for dry skin, overall I am slightly disappointed with the fact that it doesn't do the trick for my slightly dry hands. Thanks for reading.
