Dove
Dove falls under the company Unilever. The Dove brand is famous for producing various body washes, shampoos, handwashes and handcreams to name a few.
*Product*
The product I will be reviewing is the Dove Luscious Velvet Beauty Cream Wash. Don't be fooled into believing this a body wash, it isn't..it is a hand wash for your kitchen or bathroom. I have previously reviewed the Supreme Silk variation. Dove say that the hand wash is "a luscious blend of rich cream and luxurious fragrance. The feeling of luxury for your hands, everytime you wash. It's so mild you can even use it on your face. Supreme, just like velvet*
*Packaging*
This wash comes in a pinky/red plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The bottle is curved and larger at the top before swooping in at the bottom. The writing is neatly placed. The front has the Dove logo, the name of the hand wash and a little droplet image. The back has the blurb from Dove, the ingredients and contact details. It is specified that this bottle contains 250ml of hand wash and must be used within 12months.
*Cream*
Once you have pumped the product onto your hand, you reveal a medium consistency and classy creamy white cream. The smell is fresh and clean though very luxurious and I would say an equal combination of sweet and fruity scents which compliment each other nicely. The cream moisturises into your hands well and once washed and dried, leaves a prominent but not overpowering sweet aroma on your hands. I have not used this on my face so cannot comment. I personally stick to what I know with my face as I have dry and sensitive skin.

Available in supermarkets, chemist and stores such as Wilko. Look out for special offers. I bought mine in Wilkos
Wilko rrp £1.88 current price 97p
Tesco current price £1.84
Boots current price £1.99
I am certain I spotted these on buy one get one free in Superdrug during this week at £1.99 each and you can mix and match.
*My Opinion*
I like to try different hand washes for my kitchen and bathroom but always seem to come back to Dove. Why I hear you ask? It simple..the packaging is attractive and in my eyes quite sexy so jumps off the Wilko shelves at me..the hand washes always smell so darn delicious and leave a nice scent on my hands. The last one I bought was Supreme Silk but I seen this one and was immediately drawn to it. I brought it home and proudly placed it on my bathroom sink ready to be used. It looks so fancy and pretty!
The scent is quite fruity yet sweet which appeals to me as I like fragranced items like this. I was able to moisturise my hands well and after washing they felt very clean and luxurious. One thing that did dissappoint me is that my hands felt rather sticky even after rinsing them well and drying properly.
I have been using this hand wash regularly for about 2weeks and it has lasted well. You do need a little drop as any more, you will be rubbing and rinsing for ages as this is a good and right consistency. My hands have been left fairly soft but not as soft as the silk one. I must say that in normal fabric terms, I do prefer silk to velvet so maybe this has something to do with it!
Ok so this may not be the cheapest option for a hand cream but it is well worth looking out for special offers and saving a bit. I do have slightly cheaper handwashes for general kitchen use though I do like to treat my mitts to something classy and a bit more upmarket and Dove ticks all the boxes!
I recommend!
