This is a fantastic personal hygiene product and a fantastic price, lasts forever!

Enliven hand sanitizer, an absolute lifesaver!, I think I paid 17pence for this in my local home and bargains discount store, and Iv'e had this nearly a year now, I bought a couple and they seem to last forever!. As someone that probably takes personal hygiene and care to the elevated levels of a hypochondriac this stuff is fantastic for me, on the front of the bottle it states that it's anti-bacterial (duh) and requires no water and no towels to use, which is great news if you are in a rush and don't want to run a tap everytime you need to wash your hands, it also says that it kills 99.99% of germs instantly, I think I read somewhere that they always say that it kills 99.99% of germs in the very minute possibility that a strain of bacteria has mutated without anyone knowing about it.. don't quote me on that though, rationale isn't my strong point!

I'm a university student so I always carry this with me on my commute to uni and when I'm walking throughout the town and need a quick freshen up, whenever I press the 'doors open' button on the train or use a public toilet this is an absolute must, it's frightening to see how many people use toilets and don't wash their hands afterwards, especially in public, it's extremely worrying, with one of these in your back pocket there really are no excuses.

I can also say that this stuff dries incredibly fast, I mean literally 5 seconds tops and it's all soaked in no mess, voila, it's also made in england which can't be a bad thing! the version of enliven hand sanitizer that I have has a little push cap on it which you simply press down and you can then squeeze it onto your hands precisely and with sufficient force depending on how much of it you require, I have pretty small hands so generally not alot. This stuff also doesn't seem to degrade Iv'e used it for over a year now, the same bottle and although it's starting to get low my hands still feel really clean and soft after I have used it.

This is definetely a product I would recommend to those that need a quick, clean, and mess-free freshen up, definetely for those that take a pride in their personal hygiene, this stuff is brilliant, give it a try, I paid 17p for my bottle I'm sure you can find a similar deal pretty much everywhere seems to stock this stuff where I live, so pop in for a bargain!

        Great

Enliven hand sanitizer, I picked this up in the supermarket for several reasons the price was good at only a pound, the Colour was really pretty (green) and its size was great at 100ml.

I always carry a bottle in my handbag and one in the car, I have two children and it comes in useful on a daily basis. It claims to kill 99.9% of germs in fifteen seconds, speedy as well. so for our family it ticks all the boxes.

I have tried a few own brand sanitizers before and found it irritated my daughters skin (she has eczema) but this one has not caused any problems. I don't find it leaves your hands sticky afterwards unlike other reviewers.

We all like the smell apart from my husband who thinks it smells like the hospital. I would recommend this version of a hand sanitizer over all others.

Great product does what it says it should

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

One of, if not the best, hand gels I've used.

I bought this before I went on holiday last year. Wanted a hand gel that I could carry round and that I could take on a plane. I've used it so since then though. I think it's a fantastic hand gel for out and about. The 100ml bottle easily fits in a bag and can be used on the go.

        - - - Packaging: - - -

The gel comes in a clear plastic bottle with a blue flip lid. The label on the bottle is mainly blue, white and red. I don't know if it's just me but I think it looks very similar to the "Cuticura" hand gel. I could very easily get confused between the two.

        - - - The Product: - - -

I'll start with appearance and smell. The gel is clear smells very much like alcohol (the main ingredient is alcohol denat) but it doesn't bother me.

The bottle states, in short, that the gel is an alternative to soap and water, which cleanses the hands, killing 99.9% of bacteria on the skin within 15 seconds and has a non-sticky formula.

So, does it live up to it's claims? Well I can't say whether it does kill 99.99% of bacteria in 15 seconds, no idea how I would go about disproving or proving that claim haha. But so far as leaving my hands feeling clean and non-sticky after use, the product certainly does the job.

I've used other hand gels before but this is the best one I have tried.

The bottle also says the product is not tested on animals, which is a bonus.

        - - - Directions: - - -

This might seem a bit obvious but for anyone who hasn't used hand gel before the bottle has directions printed on the backstating "Wet hands thouroughly with gel. Rub over hands until dry. DO NOT WASH OFF AFTER USE."

It also advises not to use on broken skin. I'll admit I have used it whilst having had paper cuts and the likes on my hands. It stings slightly when you use it with any kind of cut on your hands.

        - - - Price: - - -

I can't actually remember how much I paid for mine though I think it was around the one pound margin. Having "googled it", apparently you can buy it from Lloyds Pharmacy for the bargin price of 99p.

        - - - Would I recommend it? - - -

I would recommend this. I've used other hand gels before and this is the least sticky I've come across. It's definitely convinient and easy to use. Will be buying another once I've finished this bottle.

          -

Swine Flu . It's been in the news a lot lately, and there are dire predictions that by the end of august new cases could reach 100,000 per day. This in itself was a shocking statement to hear on the news, followed swiftly as it was by the local news announcing that Nottingham had a lot of cases amongst uni students .

However, it was a letter form my daughters school this Monday, informing me that there was a confirmed case of Swine Flu within the school, that made me actually sit up, and take notice that actually, this was something I, or my daughter could easily come into contact with and, more worryingly, spread to other people we come into contact with. I have an elderly neighbour I visit who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and has a very compromised immune system as a result, so this was something I had to start taking a bit more seriously.

Now, I'm a pretty hygienic person . I wash my hands before and after eating, during food prep, after using the toilet, and after sneezing - at least when I'm at home . When out and about though, washing your hands after every sneeze is a little trickier, so I purchased this hand sanitiser.

This was a quid at the local poundshop, and I purchased two bottles - one for each of my handbags . With the bottle only being 100ml, they fit easily into my handbag without any bother, keeping them conveniently to hand should I need to clean my hands without a sink and soap handy .

I am quite pinickety about using public toilets and touching handles and so on, so when travelling with my young niece, I was pleased that I had this in my bag in the hope that most of the germs picked up would be wiped away!

The bottle is transparent with a blue flip top lid, and firm pressure on the bottle squirts a blob of gel into your palm . I like that firm pressure is needed, and that this doesn't just run out .

The initial smell was that of alcohol, which quickly vanished to leave my hands scent free . The gel itself is clear and cooling, easy to rub in, and rapidly absorbed, leaving my hands dry again within seconds with no sticky residue . No mess, and no faffing about . I did have a small paper cut on one hand, which stung with the gel, but that is nothing too worrying .

The product claims that it kills 99.99% of bacteria on the skin within 15 seconds- without a laboratory to hand I can't personally check this, but I did feel reassured after using this - which I've done quite often, as I suffer from sneezing fits due to hay fever .

The only minor downside to this product is that my daughter struggles to squeeze out any gel, which means I have to do it for her. Other than that, it's a great product for when you need to wash your hands on the go!

A handy way to keep your hands germ free when out and about!

I am quite pinickety about using public toilets and touching handles and so on, so when travelling with my young niece, I was pleased that I had this in my bag in the hope that most of the germs picked up would be wiped away!

            - Price and Packaging -

I bought this from Poundland, a 100ml bottle for £1.
The bottle is small enough to fit in to a large style handbag, obviously not a tiny evening bag! It is a transparent plastic bottle with a blue screw top lid which also has a flip top to dispense the gel through a small hole.

            - What does it promise? -

~ Instantly cleanses your hands without the need for soap and water.
~ Kills 99.99% of bacteria on the skin within 15 seconds.
            ~ Ideal for everyone.
            ~ No mess, no fuss.
            ~ Non-sticky formula.
~ Leaves hands feeling clean, fresh and germ-free.
            ~ Instant results.

            - Appearance, Smell & Texture -

This is a clear gel-like substance which when applied to your hands and gently rubbed in, has a slightly cool feel to it. It is quickly and easily rubbed in and absorbed as well as having a very fresh smell to it, reminding me of a cucumber.

The manufacturers are certainly correct in their claim that this is a non-sticky formula as no sticky residue is left on your hands.

            - General -

As far as its cleaning properties are concerned, I can only hope that the claim of killing 99.99% of germs is correct - Unfortunately I don't have any way of checking the bacteria on my hands before and after using it.
It certainly is a no mess, no fuss formula when you are out and about. The bottle is small enough for a hand bag.

N.B. There is a warning on the bottle to avoid contact with broken skin.

Great product, cheap for peace of mind!

Enliven are a company which produce high quality health and beauty products. They now have absolutely loads of great products on the market and this is one of my favourites, their hand sanitizer.

The reason I love products like this is that I hate being out at a park or the beach with my kids and just cleaning their hands with your average baby wipe. At least with products such as this, there is some reassurance that they are not eating loads of germs with their sarnies! The product is clear in colour andkills 99.99% of germs.

I bought a 100ml bottle of this Active Hand Sanitizer from Ethel Austin's for about £1.50, but Enliven also have a website... www.enliven.co.uk

There is a slight fragrance from this product and it is also available in a lovely Lemon fragrance. There is a flip top on the bottle, handy for those mucky hands, and a squeezy bottle. Simply put some of the gel on your hands, rub together and let dry, DO NOT WASH OFF!! The gel dries quickly, has a lovely cooling feel and leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

The handy bottle is just the right size to pop into my baby's changing bag and I always keep a bottle in the glove compartment of the car and my hubby's fishing bag!

Great (clean!) thumbs up from me!!!

                Handy hand sanitiser

                Hand sanitiser

I am not a neurotic mother, and can honestly say that I don’t worry about every germ children may inadvertently pick up. However, sometimes, especially when we are out and about for the day, and having a picnic, I do like to think that hands are at least half way clean. Sometimes, it’s not possible to get to a sink with soap and water, so in our cool bag, I always carry some of this; in fact, I carry a little bottle in the car as well, so in good Girl Guide style, I stay prepared for any eventuality!

                ~~So…what is it?~~

The product is, no unsurprisingly, since that’s its name, a hand sanitizer. It claims to kill over 99.99% (is this possible?) of bacteria within 15 seconds

                ~~Product and Packaging~~

This is an easy little bottle to carry around.

The product comes in a 100ml plastic bottle- clear so you can see how much is left. The bottle itself is slightly squezy, presumably so you can squeeze the gel out. It has a flip up, press down lid, so as long as the lid is pressed down firmly, there is little chance of spillages.

The sanitizer itself is a clear gel with a very faint and subtle kind of antiseptic smell.

                ~~Using it~~

This is very simple. You simply wet your (or another’s ) hands with the gel and rub over the hands until dry. There is a warning in capitals, that you must not wash it off; I assume so that the product has the necessary 15 seconds to kill the bacteria.

                ~~Price and Availability~~

I bought several bottles of this for £1 a bottle, which I think is excellent value. I can’t find the RRP, but assume it will be slightly more.

The sanitizer is also available in lemon, and the company produces several other hand washes.

                ~~Other bits of information~~

                Website: www.enliven.co.uk

                Made by: enliven ltd., UK

The product does contain alcohol, so is flammable- no lighted matches close to it, obviously!

                ~~What I think of it~~

I like this product, most especially for the peace of mind it gives me if small folk are about to tuck into a packet of crisps, whilst in a field in the middle of nowhere and no chance to wash hands. I do tend to insist on hands washed before eating, so would feel a bit of a hypocrite if this rule was forgotten when they were especially grubby.

There is the argument that I can’t see the germs, so how do I know the product is killing them? I don’t, but I assume it does, because it says so on the bottle.

The product is very easy to use. Once applied to the hands, it rubs in easily, and is very quickly absorbed by the skin. Surprisingly, it leaves no noticeable after smell, and we certainly notice no taste after the sanitiser is rubbed in…good news if you are about to tuck into your picnic. Since it’s so easy to use, children will make use of it, and because there is no nasty sticky residue, there are generally no grumblings.

It’s easy to carry round, and because the bottle is plastic and takes up very little space, it makes sense to pop one in your bag when travelling.

A no fuss product which has certainly done us no harm; at the price it is, I will certainly be using this again, and would recommend it as a useful hand cleanser/ germ killer.

                Thanks for reading.
