      Help for nails

      Essie nourish me

My nails were in need of a bit of tlc so when I saw this range in Superdrug I decided to give it a go.
The brand is available in major chemists, costing around the £8 mark, and has a range of products including nail colours and nail care. My nails were feeing dry so I decided to try the Nourish me product in the hope that they would strengthen up.
This is a base coat which promises to provide intense hydration, and adds the information that in 5 days nails will appear less dry with a 30% increase in flexibility to prevent splitting. It apparently contains a mix of Vitamins A, C and E as well as a naturally derived oil blend to keep nails supple; all of this promises to lock in moisture.

The product comes in a plastic box with all of the information and instructions on the back and the bottle itself is a 13.5ml bottle which looks like any other nail care bottle. The liquid inside does look a pale blue but when taken out of the bottle on the brush and applied to nails it is thankfully clear without any blue undertones. It smells like nail polish but possibly not as strong.

To use, one coat should be applied to clear dry nails and then can be followed with a nail colour and top coat. I have tended to use it on its own because I usually have gel nail polish on my nails and wanted to give them a complete break for a couple of weeks. I have been removing it using regular nail polish remover every three days and reapplying to try to get maximum moisture into my nails. The product is easy to apply, and because It's clear there's no chance of making mistakes.

WHAT I THINK OF THE PRODUCT...

Whilst this isn't the cheapest of products, it has certainly benefited my nails. It is easy to apply, dries quickly and so is not time consuming at all. From first using it my nails felt protected and even without it being nourishing it is a good clear polish to help protect my nails.
Having used the product now for several weeks I find that my nails are stronger and much less prone to flaking and splittin; it really does seem to have nourished them

      A recommended product.

      Thanks for reading
      Daniela xx
