Advantages: Rich and thick, good price
Disadvantages: A bit too greasy on the palms
I bought this hand cream a couple of months ago after finally giving up on the dire Asda own brand "cream" I was currently using (a word of warning, they may be cheap but they're rubbish so avoid!) I find it's much better to spend a few quid more for better quality and something that will last longer, it's all well and good to find a bargain at only 50p but if you need tonnes of the stuff to have any affect on your skin and end up using a whole tube within a week it's not much of a bargain after all.
I never normally go out of my way to find Garnier products whenever I'm in Boots or Superdrug, I have my faves and stick to them or hunt down bargains that I know have worked in the past. On this occasion though I was sick to death of forking out hard earned cash for products that don't do what they promise on the tube or box, I wanted results and quickly as my hands were suffering somewhat from an unpleasant attack of eczema due to stress at work and I was fed up with the skin peeling and feeling sore and tight (I had been prescribed steroid cream by my doctor but this wasn't having much of an affect, and I wasn't going to fork for another costly, useless prescription)
After spending a good half an hour poring over the vast selection of creams and lotions on offer I finally settled on this effort from Garnier, the words non-stop hydration for 24 hours caught my eye as that was what my hands needed. I guess with such bold claims you should be a little skeptical but I was so desperate I was prepared to put my faith in the little tube and hand over (boom, boom!) the best part of £5 for it.
£5 may sound a lot of money for only 50ml of cream, but believe me it's worth it. I bought this tube of cream almost 3 months ago and I've only used half of it, it's such a rich and thick cream that I only need the smallest of dabs on my fingers and backs of my hands to smooth the rough skin. I don't like to use it on my palms though if I can help it as it can leave them feeling ever so slightly greasy and tacky.
The little tube is an ideal size for your handbag or desk drawer, I like to keep one in both so I'm never caught short. It has a flip top lid making extracting the cream easy and quick when you're on the run, the lid also unscrews from the tube so you can squash it down to extract every last smudge of cream, this is important to me as I don't like to waste anything.
I'm going to buy this again when the tube finally runs out as I know it works so well, plus I would recommend it to anyone after a good quality hand cream at a reasonable price.
Summary: A great investment
