“ Brand: Cussons / Type: Hand Wash / Suitable for: Hand „
We have this lovely ,fragrant hand wash in our guest bathroom and I am always confident that whoever they are they will enjoy using this soap. Cussons Imperial Leather has always been a little bit of a superior product, most people know of their hand soap with the trade mark red label in the centre and the distinctive shape , they have in my opinion carried on the tradition of high quality in their range of hand wash liquid soaps. A little background. This is interesting! in1768 a Russian nobleman called Count Orlof commisioned a brand of perfume from Bayleys of Bond Street in London. The perfume was called "Eau de Cologne Imperiale Russe". In 1921 Bayleys were acquired by Cussons and Sons but it was not until1938 that Alex Cussons used the origional perfume and created Cussons Imperial Leather soap and other toiletries. It was a very popular soap during the war when soap was, of course, rationed as it lasted a long time. So smells good and lasts what could be better. The packaging. The creamy handwash comes in a nicely curved shaped ,opaque bottle which is well designed to be very easy to hold with wet or slippery hands On the front is the Cussons Imperial Leather logo and some cute little flowers and a bee as this product contains honey as well as vanilla milk "in Good Hands" and "family kind " as well as the description vanilla milk and honey handwash also appear on the front. On the back is a description of it´s properties saying that this product will feed your hands with a yummy nutritious blend of vanilla milk and honey and that you will become addicted to it! Cussons go a bit overboard extolling their product and the back is full of information including that it is ,skin friendly ph ,dermatologically tested ,mild enough for all the family and 100% soap free. Its a very busy back label and also list the ingredients amongst which I can spot vanilla. On the top of the bottle is a clean and efficient pump which gives a sensilble amount of product to wash your hands well. The product. One squirt of the pump and you get a good amount of peachy, pearly handwash ,the scent of vanilla is noticeable but not enough for the guys to say thats a really girlie perfume. It feels soft and smooth and rich on the hands and lathers up well when the water is added. One squirt is enough unless you are very dirty! It cleans my hands well and leves a nice faint scent . they claim that the vanilla milk protects and conditions and that the honey naturally hydrates and heals and nourishes and my hands always feel better for a wash with this. The bottle contains 300ml, and how long it lasts depends on whether you do get addicted to it,I reccomend you give it a try! All in all another nice product from Cussons, widely available in Supermarkets price around 1.50p
I like to buy a good quality hand wash to use at home as I have quite sensitive hands that get dry very quickly so I don't like buying the cheaper value soaps which make your hands even drier - plus they look horrid and very cheap. Imperial Leather is one of my favourite brands of hand wash and their In good hands soap is one of the best of theirs in my opinion. It's a comforting hand wash with vanilla milk and honey. The vanilla milk protects and conditions your skin and the honey is hydrating, nourishing and healing so these two mixtures put together are very soothing and good for your skin. The colour of the soap is a creamy pale orange colour and it looks and feels like a thick creamy wash. It smells of vanilla and as soon as you put it on your hands and rub it in you can feel that it's very soft and will moisturise your hands well. It lathers up well in your hands and it leaves your hands feeling soft and smelling lovely after using it. These soaps only cost £1 usually so even though that's more than a supermarket's value range of hand wash, this one looks and feels so much nicer. You can tell straight away that it's an excellent quality soap and it's one that I'm proud to have on show in my house when guests come over.
In our house we need to use a decent hand wash that has some sort of moisturising ingredient in it as both Alex and I get dry hands really easily. I usually use Imperial Leather's Softly Softly hand wash in the bathroom, which I love, but I often look out for new and different ones to try just for a change. So when I saw this one, In good hands, also from Imperial Leather, it looked like it would be another great one to try. It comes in the usual liquid hand wash style container with a pump top which is very easy to open with a quick twist. The Imperial Leather hand wash bottles have a curved body making them look a bit different and this one has a few small pictures of yellow flowers and a buzzing bee on the front. In good hands is a comforting liquid hand wash with vanilla milk and honey. The vanilla milk is for protecting and comforting the skin and the honey is naturally hydrating, nourishing and healing which means that it is a perfect hand wash for those who want to protect and nourish their skin. It has a pale orangey vanilla colour, looks very good quality and has a subtle scent of sweet vanilla. It lathers up very easily and quickly in your hands making a creamy lather. It feels really smooth and silky on my hands and feels like it's moisturising them brilliantly - they always feel very soft and smooth after I've used it and as if they have a silky sheen left on them. This hand wash is 100% soap free, dermatologically tested and is mild enough for the whole family to use. It's also a neutral colour so it matches perfectly with any room in the house. Imperial Leather hand washes usually cost £1 each but can often be found in various offers - such as a 4 for £3 offer in Asda at the moment. Although more expensive than value supermarket liquid soaps, these ones are so much better quality, plus they look a lot nicer on the sink when guests come round! The only problem I have with this hand wash is that now I can never decide whether to use this one or the Softly Soflty one as they're both so scrumptious!
