Advantages: A lovely light scent and clean happy hands.

Disadvantages: Non that I have found.

We have this lovely ,fragrant hand wash in our guest bathroom and I am always confident that whoever they are they will enjoy using this soap. Cussons Imperial Leather has always been a little bit of a superior product, most people know of their hand soap with the trade mark red label in the centre and the distinctive shape , they have in my opinion carried on the tradition of high quality in their range of hand wash liquid soaps.

A little background.

This is interesting! in1768 a Russian nobleman called Count Orlof commisioned a brand of perfume from Bayleys of Bond Street in London. The perfume was called "Eau de Cologne Imperiale Russe". In 1921 Bayleys were acquired by Cussons and Sons but it was not until1938 that Alex Cussons used the origional perfume and created Cussons Imperial Leather soap and other toiletries. It was a very popular soap during the war when soap was, of course, rationed as it lasted a long time. So smells good and lasts what could be better.

The packaging.

The creamy handwash comes in a nicely curved shaped ,opaque bottle which is well designed to be very easy to hold with wet or slippery hands On the front is the Cussons Imperial Leather logo and some cute little flowers and a bee as this product contains honey as well as vanilla milk "in Good Hands" and "family kind " as well as the description vanilla milk and honey handwash also appear on the front. On the back is a description of itīs properties saying that this product will feed your hands with a yummy nutritious blend of vanilla milk and honey and that you will become addicted to it! Cussons go a bit overboard extolling their product and the back is full of information including that it is ,skin friendly ph ,dermatologically tested ,mild enough for all the family and 100% soap free. Its a very busy back label and also list the ingredients amongst which I can spot vanilla. On the top of the bottle is a clean and efficient pump which gives a sensilble amount of product to wash your hands well.

The product.

One squirt of the pump and you get a good amount of peachy, pearly handwash ,the scent of vanilla is noticeable but not enough for the guys to say thats a really girlie perfume. It feels soft and smooth and rich on the hands and lathers up well when the water is added. One squirt is enough unless you are very dirty!
It cleans my hands well and leves a nice faint scent . they claim that the vanilla milk protects and conditions and that the honey naturally hydrates and heals and nourishes and my hands always feel better for a wash with this. The bottle contains 300ml, and how long it lasts depends on whether you do get addicted to it,I reccomend you give it a try!

All in all another nice product from Cussons, widely available in Supermarkets price around 1.50p

Summary: A cut above other hand washes
