Jo Malone vitamin E hand cream

I am forever trying hand creams and lotions. I have quite dry hands which sometimes are fine and then other times I get really dry patches on my knuckles, especially on my little fingers for some reason, it's probably all the washing up I do! They do get worse in the winter time as well so I really need a thick cream that does the job and soothes my hands and keeps them like that.

My husband bought me some of this cream as a present last year for Christmas and to be honest I just looked it up on the internet right now to be able to quote a price in my review and got a shock when I saw the price of it, £38 for a 100ml tube, good gosh, that is expensive, if I'd have known that I would have been a bit more sparing with it but it's a really good cream that works for me and so hopefully I can drop a few hints that I've nearly used it all and would like another tube this Christmas.

Anyway the cream comes in a lovely black tube with a cool oblong cap which screws off. It looks really nice and stylish and is very in keeping with the Jo Malone look and range, a very upmarket range full of amazing perfumes, unusual scents, candles, oils and creams. The smell of this lotion is great. It is very rich and luxurious and you can tell this even before you rub the cream into your hands. Once you squeeze out the lotion you can see that it is really thick because it just clings to your hands. As you rub it in it starts to get really silky and smooth on the surface of your hands and doesn't take long to soak in. The cream stays on your hands well and coats them well and for me it really works to take away some of my dry bits and soften my hands.

The smell is hard to describe, it's very rich and strong and does last quite a long time. It's a clean smelling fragrance, not flowery or fruity but very nice anyway. Jo Malone says this cream will restore vitality and I really like what it does to my hands. I use it quite a lot and the tube has lasted quite a while but I just wish it wasn't so expensive even though it is amazing!
