Advantages: packaging, smell, price, leaves my hands soft
Disadvantages: not moisturising enough to last on my really dry hands
~Johnson's Hand Cream~
This hand cream is said to offer 24 hour moisture. Johnson's claim that your hands will be left feeling soft even after washing them. This hand cream contains skin conditioners, softening oils and a natural moisturiser. Dullness, flakiness and tightness are targeted.
~Packaging~
This hand cream is presented in a feminine looking pink tube with a flip top cap. The tube can be recycled once empty.
~Price and Availability~
A 75ml tube of this hand cream is available from Boots priced at £2.05.
~My Thoughts~
I have dry hands so rely on hand creams to keep them looking good. My collection of hand creams has grown over the past year as I cannot resist a bargain. I bought a 50ml tube of this Johnson's hand cream when I spotted it in my local Tesco at just 50p. I love all things pink so the packaging appealed to my girly side!
I use hand cream a few times a day normally as I have a bit of an OCD with washing my hands. When I don't use it, I start to notice excess dry patches and general soreness. It gets worse in the Winter so a good hand cream is a must for me. This hand cream has a pleasant consistency - thick and soft to the touch. A small blob of sufficient to coat my hands in a nice even layer of hand cream.
This hand cream feels really soft on my skin but doesn't have the same cooling or soothing effect as other hand creams I own. This hand cream doesn't take long to absorb into my hands but does leave a slightly tacky feeling for a few minutes so isn't practical to apply when I am on the go. This hand cream has a nicely perfumed but subtle scent - quite powdery smelling with a sweet floral undertone.
Once the tacky feeling has subsided, my hands are left feeling soft to the touch. I wouldn't say that the results are as good as with more expensive hand creams but there is a noticeable improvement in the dry patches and my hands are left feeling comfortable. The scent lingers for a short while. I wouldn't say that the effects of this hand cream last 24hours. I suffer mainly with the dryness on the palms of my hands and do find that they start to feel slightly rough again after a few hand washes. Around my nails and the top part of my hand feels really soft most of the day.
~Conclusion~
I would say that this hand cream is quite basic compared to other, slightly more expensive hand creams. It seems to work more effectively on the less dry areas but isn't intensive enough for my dry palms to make use of on a regular basis. My tube has lasted well and it is a well priced hand cream but I prefer something a bit more moisturising.
Thanks for reading :)
Summary: I prefer something with a little more moisture..
