I don't tend to use a lot of hand cream, as I can't stand my hands feeling greasy. However, my brother bought me some of this for my birthday last year and after I looked it up on the internet to see how much he'd spent on me (as you do) I decided to give it a go.
Jurlique is an Australian company founded by Dr Jurgen Klein in 1985, based on the principle of creating excellent skincare products from ingredients found in nature. All their ingredients come from their farm in South Australia and are organic.
The hand cream comes in a plain white aluminium tube, with just the name and size on the front. Very plain, but quite elegant too. The cream itself is cream coloured and quite thick, about the consistency of vaseline. It has a very silky feel to it and is easily absorbed by your skin, leaving no greasy after-effects (phew!). It smells very strongly of roses. When I say this, I mean it smells of the actual flowers, not of rose-scented products.
I found this a really excellent product to use. As mum to two toddlers, my poor old hands are constantly in and out of water, wiping pooey bums and trying to extract bogies from blocked up noses. As a result, they're usually dry and a bit chapped. Since using this, I've noticed a real difference - my hands aren't perfect, but they're a lot softer and smoother than they were.
I've never seen Jurlique products in the shops over here, but they are available online. My brother sent this over to me when he was working out in Australia and I seem to remember Jurlique products being quite widely available when I lived out there.
The only downside to this product is the price. A 125ml tube (the size of a small tube of toothpaste) will set you back £30. Yes, that's £30. My brother obviously really likes me!
