“ Brand: Marks & Spencer / Type: Nail & Hand Cream / Subcategory: Moisturiser / Suitable for: Nails & Hand / What it does: Moisturizes, „
This is a very good moisturising hand and nail cream that is only about £2 per tube. The smell is very nice (and very much like lavender - so if this isn't a smell that you like then it's not a hand cream for you,) and it really does make my hands feel nice.
I get dry hands a lot so tend to go through a lot of hand cream - this is one of the better ones, and yet one of the cheaper, so money doesn't always mean quality. This moisturises very well, and stops my hands from drying and chapping so much.
As with most hand creams, it does take some rubbing in for your skin to absorb it. Your hands can also be a little bit tacky after using it, so if I were you I'd not handle things you want to keep tidy without rubbing the excess off with a towel or a piece of kitchen paper.
This also washes off quite easily unless it's had time to *really* sink in - so I really do advise that you not wash your hands straight after putting it on, or you'll just be washing all of the hand cream straight off again. After about half an hour, maybe more, maybe less, depending on your individual skin, it's sunk in enough to not be bothered by washing your hands.
This is a good cream. It's cheap, and from a trusted brand (Marks and Spencer,) it does a good job, and smells nice.
Whilst I'm not a regular customer of Marks and Spencer, particularly due to their high prices, I am a great fan of their extensive range of toiletries. I can remember their products being extremely expensive, but in recent years they have considerably reduced in price and in my opinion, are now excellent value for money.
I'm assuming the item that I'm reviewing isn't very popular as it was not included in dooyoo's extensive catalogue, so I made a product suggestion in order to inform you of my experience of using this superb product.
The product I am reviewing is within the Marks and Spencer Floral Collection range and is named Lavender Moisturising Hand and Nail Cream.
The cream is contained within a 14½ cms high 100ml white plastic tube with a flip top lid located on the underside. The product looks somewhat luxurious and is extremely calming and relaxing in appearance. The front of the tube is white and illustrates several stems of freshly cut lavender. The Marks and Spencer logo is situated in the upper centre of the tube and is inscribed in expensive-looking gold lettering.
The centre of the tube displays a mauve and gold coloured banner, which advises us of the name of the product and proudly exhibits the word "lavender" in large white bold lettering.
The reverse of the tube provides information relating to the product where we are informed that the cream is ph balanced with added panthenol. Marks and Spencer advise us that in using this cream our hands will become soft and nourished and our nails strengthened.
The lid is easily opened and the cream dispenses without any difficulty. The consistency is a little thinner than that of other brand name creams and is similar to a thick lotion. The aroma is simply stunning and resembles that of natural lavender.
I'm a great fan of lavender scented products, particularly as they are very calming and relaxing, but I have found that so many contain artificial scents that can be somewhat overpowering.
The lavender scent contained within this cream reminds me of fresh twigs of lavender that are blowing in the wind with the aroma being gently released. I always find the scent is such a calming and tranquil fragrance and it enables me to unwind and relax.
The cream is easily absorbed into the skin and is of a non-greasy formula. The product is intended for use on both the hands and nails, particularly after contact with water and detergents, but must not be used on the face. The great thing about the cream is that the lavender scent will linger on your skin until you next wash your hands.
With regular use, you will find the skin on your hands benefits considerably as it lives up to Marks and Spencer's claim, as your skin will become soft, smooth and perfectly conditioned. The cream will significantly strengthen soft and brittle nails enabling them to boast a healthy glow.
Whilst this product contains alcohol, I have never experienced any adverse effects on my very dry hands. The great thing about the packaging is that there is no waste as you can remove the very last drop of cream from the tube, which is recyclable once empty.
Marks and Spencer Floral Collection Lavender Moisturising Hand and Nail Cream is available in most Marks and Spencer stores and costs £2.00 for a 100ml tube.
