A Decent Hand Cream, But Not The Best Ive Used.

Normally when it comes to hand creams it is one of those products that I am brand loyal to - Soap&Glory Hand Food is probably the best Ive ever come accross so I tend to stick to that one all the time. Why change it when it gives such brilliant results? But as my mom came home with yet another N-Spa gift set a few weeks ago with a load of products that Id never tried before - including this 'N-Spa Super Smooth Hand & Nail Cream' I thought Id give it a go just to see whether it could ever live up to my usual brand and maybe make me change my mind about being brand loyal. I dont think Ill be switching any time soon but that doesnt make this one any less brilliant. Useful Information: Price: 225ml tube - Around £3.50 Stockists: ASDA & The N-Spa website - I have never seen this in any store but ASDA but they have stores all over the place so this should still be very easy to find. Other Information: Promises to be a lightweight formula that will leave your hands and nails feeling softer and smoother but without any greasy residue left behind. This product comes in a small 100ml bottle [the one I own is 100ml as I got it as part of a set] which is totally transparent through which you can clearly see the product inside - which is a bright white and appears to be very creamy and thick which usually means it will be very moisturising - in my experience. At the top of the bottle is a small black cap that can be flipped open and shut OR taken off all together if you want to get more out of the bottle quicker - I prefer to do it the first way though as you dont waste any using it like that. On the front and back of the bottle is all the information you could need - directions for use, shelf life, ingredients etc and there is also an email address and street address to write to should you any more questions on the product. The thing I like about the little bottle I own is that it is travel suitable so if your going on holiday soon and going by plane these products might be good for you as you can take them without worrying about them exploding!! If you do buy the full sized version of this it will come in a tube rather than a bottle which in my opinion will make it much easier to use so if I ever do buy this again Ill buy it seperate from a set. You use this cream as you would a normal hand cream - however I recommend concentrating on your nails more than usual as this is formulated for nails as well as hands. You simply squeeze a small amount onto the palm of your hand, rub into both hands and then rub into nails as well. A smaller amount will definitely work to your advantage here as it will sink into your skin quicker and not leave any residue on your hands afterwards - a less than 5p piece size is normally more than enough for me to get brilliant results from this cream, so less is certainly more in this case. The cream does feel very light as soon as you apply it - which isnt necessarily a good thing as thicker creams are normally better for my skin but at least that means it sinks into my skin and I dont have to worry about leaving a greasy mark on anything I touch. It really does sink in and start to work straight away - even when my hands are feeling a little bit drier than normal. The scent is usually worth mentioning when it comes to N-Spa products but there is always an exception to the rule and this one is it. The reason for that being is that this cream doesnt have much of a scent to it at all which will appeal to some people but not really to me. It does have a VERY light citrus scent alongside a fresh, clean smell but its nothing to brag about really. I guess that will be very good for people with skin that is sensitive perfumed products but for me I wanted something with a bit more of a fragrance - like my usual hand cream andI felt really let down by the scent of this one - at least my hands smell clean though so I cant complain too much I guess. And its about the results more than anything I suppose. Also the scent doesnt really linger at all - what little scent there is in the first place so Im let down by the fragrance - or rather lack of it - from this product. I expected much more from an N-Spa product. The results though I have to admit are pretty great. After a long shift at work my hands feel really dry and tight - after using the god awful hand mousse they have at work!! - and I needed a good hand cream to stop that from happening and so far this has been. My hands do feel softer and smoother and this actually stops them from becoming as dried out while using the horrible hand mousse so it definitely suits my needs. Im not sure this has really helped my nails/cuticles at all though - they seem slightly softer and smoother but nothing amazing and I wouldnt say the results of this are AS good as my usual S&G cream. I dont think Ill be swapping brands any time soon but Im happy using this bottle till it runs out and I would recommend it as the results are brilliant, Im just comparing it to my usual cream! Thanks For Reading. x0 Salz 0x

        Buy it!

The N-Spa professional Super Smooth Hand and Nail cream is another product that I received in an N-Spa gift set for Christmas. The picture above shows a tube, which I believe is what the full sized product comes packaged in, but as I only had the travel sized version mine came in a bottle. The packaging is quite plain and uninspiring being mainly white, blue and grey. The cream itself is white and has a very gentle, pleasant scent. It's quite subtle but smells very creamy and has a soft, feminine sort of aroma to it. As it's so soft it's in no way overpowering and you don't really notice the fragrance once it has been applied. The cream is actually quite a thin consistency and nowhere near as thick as I had expected it to be. It's not runny as such, but whereas most hand creams tend to be quite thick as they need to deliver intense moisture, this one seemed to be very light. It rubbed into my skin very easily and didn't take very long to absorb. When you're rubbing it in it feels really lovely against the skin, it's very smooth and silky, but doesn't feel heavy or greasy as other hand creams can. I think without a doubt the best thing about this hand cream is the speed it takes to sink in and the fact that I am left with no greasy feeling on my hands whatsoever. As my job involves typing one thing I really hate is applying a hand cream and then finding your fingers are slipping off the keys or leaving the keyboard and mouse with a greasy residue. You really don't get that with this one at all, you can just apply it and carry on as normal which is a huge bonus and is also the reason why I now keep this particular product on my desk! Considering the rather thin consistency I was surprised at just how moisturising this product is. I have dry skin and it can be particularly bad on my hands but this cream seems to keep them feeling hydrated and supple for a long time after application. It might be my imagination but I also think the skin on my hands looks brighter and healthier after applying this. This product is also great for the nails. As well as applying to my hands I also make sure I massage it into my cuticles which are very dry and often look ragged and unsightly. This cream gives them enough moisture to keep them looking healthy without the need to use a separate cuticle balm. The 100ml bottle of this costs £1.38 from ASDA. The full size tube is not shown on the ASDA website so I am unsure of the price/size. What I would say though is that this bottle has been on the go since just after Christmas and there is still loads left even though I use it most days. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and would buy another bottle when this one runs out. It keeps my hands and cuticles hydrated, smells nice and doesn't have a crazy price tag, and other than boring packaging I really can't fault it!
