It is essential that I use a hand cream every day – if I didn’t then my hands would be in an awful state as I have dry scaly patches on my knuckles and just the sight of water seems to make them dry out. I have used all sorts of hand creams over the years and most recently I have been using the Fast Absorbing Hand cream from Neutrogena. I knew this was going to be a good one even before I tried it as I have used this brand lots of times before but never this particular type, if you know what I mean.
I bought this 75ml tube, with a nicely solid clip down lid, from Home Bargains for £1.89. I have seen it in Boots and it was selling there for about 75p more, so I consider this to be a good price.
The cream itself is thick and feels really whipped and creamy on application. It has a gorgeous soft, fresh and light aroma and it sinks straight into the skin on my hands and the best thing about this hand cream is that it never makes your hands feel sticky afterwards and there is absolutely no residue left at all.
It is suitable for all types of skin, even the most sensitive skin and I even use it on my ankles as I also get sore chaffed skin there, and it works a treat. It is certainly worth the price, especially if you get it cheaper, as I did, and I would really recommend it.
I use hand cream several times a day and will always have a few tubes the go at any one time. I would say that I probably apply hand cream about three times a day on average, and more so if the weather is particularly cold. I like the Neutrogena hand creams as I find the effects last a long time compared with some others. I bought this fast absorbing cream from my local chemist for just £2.09.
This hand cream smells clean and fresh without being too overpowering. It is dermatologically approved so is suitable for sensitive skin and for daily use. Neutrogena have been making hand cream and other products for many years and they are a well known and trusted brand.
This comes in a 75ml white tube with a flip top and the opening is wide enough to squeeze a decent amount of cream with just one squeeze. The tube contains the usual list of ingredients and instructions for use and the cream itself is white in colour and it feels very rich and creamy without feeling greasy or sticky at all. You can also get this hand cream in several other sizes so there should be one suitable for everyone.
To use I will squeeze a blob onto the back of my hand around the size of a five pence piece and find that this is usually plenty to rub into both hands. I will make sure that I rub it down between my fingers which sometimes get a bit cracked in the cold weather. It absorbs very quickly without too much rubbing and my hands feel soft and moisturised. I have never had any residue left on my hands or felt that I can't touch anything afterwards without leaving behind any remnants of cream.
I have been using this particular tube for about two months and I don't seem to have used much at all, but I do use others at home. I like the feel and smell of this cream, and the effect it has on my hands. I do recommend this hand cream to protect your hands from the cold weather and to keep them in great condition.
Neutrogena is the best hand cream ever. For anyone who has suffered dry, chapped hands over the winter months; it is a must have. If you suffer from 'hacks', those horrible little splits that happen at the finger tips, it will heal them up within a couple of days. If regularly applied, it seems to form a sort of second skin over these, reducing the pain, seeming to provide a water proof covering and allowing the healing process to happen. It isn't cheap, in comparison to other hand creams, but you only need a very tiny amount as it is concentrated. This means that you don't end up with a sloppy amount that you spend ages trying to blend into you hands; so no wastage. It's also a handy size to keep in you handbag. I also found that it helped clear up a small burn that I accidentally got when I was cooking.
I bought this product after suffering with dry hands almost every day throughout the winter period. The one main thing that drew me towards this product was the claim to be 'fast absorbing', as I have used hand creams before where they never seem to absorb into your skin and leave a horrible greasy feeling.
The price of the cream is pretty much average when compared to other hand creams in similar size bottles.
When I applied this the first night I didn't feel like the claim to be fast absorbing was accurate as I still felt like the cream was on top of my skin. However I did wake up the following morning and had nice soft hands, with no flaky skin on them.
On the second night I applied the cream again but applied a little bit less. I found that this helped as the cream seemed to absorb quite quickly and hardly felt like I had applied any cream to my hands.
Overall I would recommend this product to most people that suffer from the odd time where they have dry/chapped hands. The only slight thing that put me off was the price tag however as stated before most hand creams seem to be around the same price.
I have a shelf full of hand cream. I am forever buying new ones, trying to look for the 'ONE'. This one attracted me with claims to 'intensively moisturise' and 'immediately softens'- just what I am looking for.
I have very dry hands, after years of abuse, not using gloves when washing up etc. So need a hard working cream for hard working hands :0)
Unfortunately, this is not the one for me. I have used most of the tube, so have given it a fair go. The tube is a nice handy size, with a flip top lid, which makes it handy for my handbag. I probably applied it at least twice a day. There is not a particular smell to it, but when applying I found it to be quite greasy and not absorb in at all. Not matter how much I rubbed it in, it still left my hands quite greasy ( I usually apply some in the car waiting for the children to come out school and found myself having to wipe my hands on my jeans , before driving, so it is not too slippy on the steering wheel!)
There did not seem to be any difference made to my hands whatsoever, even immediately after. So I am afraid this one will go back on the shelf, with my other numerous graveyard of handcreams.
( I have to say I have recently found one that works for me- La Source by Crabtree & Evelyn, bit pricey, but it works)
Hands need special care especially when you use them for washiing utensils or doing laundry or when water contact is frequent. It's very important to keep them hydrated and soft. Even though I am saying all this, I tend to forget about my own hands and feel lazy to reach out for a moisturiser and rub it on my hands.
This is the reason I looked out for a small handy packaging of a hand cream or a moisturiser so I could just drop it in my purse and dab it on anytime I was out or one that I could just keep on my bedside and smear on my palms before going to bed.
This Neutrogena fast absorbing hand cream comes in a lovely little 75 ml easy to use tube. The ingredients make it easy to easily absorbed by the skin and within seconds of application, the cream vanishes leaving your hands baby soft. Just a small amount is sufficient and you will see the result.
The cream is fragrance free so no problem on that part. You can use it not just on face but alos on elbows, feet, face, lips or any part of the body that feels dry or cracky.
I got mine for around 3.75 pounds at the local supermarket. it's a very good price for the cream !
At this time of year I start to feel I need to use a hand cream to protect and moisturise my hands. I thought I would try Norwegian Formula Fast Absorbing Hand cream made by Neutrogena.
It is packaged in a small white tube with the Nowegian flag at the top of the tube. It has Neutrogena written in red writing at the bottom of the tube. There is an easy to use flip top lid. The sixe of the tube is ideal to keep in your handbag. The tube contains 75ml of the cream. It is dermatologist tested.
When I first tried the cream I was very impressed. The cream did not have much of an odour just a mild fresh smell. The cream instantly melted into my skin as the tube had stated. It was a delight because it was so rapidly absorbed. The cream was very light and it did not have a greasy texture. It was a pleasure to use and my hands felt soft and moisturised immediately. They also felt very subtle. This certainly is a different cream to the ones that I am used to, it is so much lighter that it makes you wonder if it is going to moisturise as it says. It really does. It is a very good cream to have at work as you can use the product very quickly and get back to the task in hand at once.
The cream cost £3.46 and is available from supermarkets and chemists.

I have neurtrogenas intensive hand cream which I use on a regular basis and have great results with. Unfortunately I have run out of it though and my hands were feeling quite dry and flakey so i searched around the house and found this fast absorbing hand cream.
Im unsure as to why neutrogena sell this one as well as their other fantastic product as noone should need to use anything else, anyway I decided to give it a go.
The tube is light blue and 75ml with the neutrogena norwegian flag on the top. The product claims to moisurise hands immediately and be non greasy.
You open the tube via the flip top lid on the bottom and then squeeze out as much as you need. Its very easy to squeeze out a lot of the cream and its a thin consistancy. The creme itsself is white and i couldnt really detect any fragrance to it at all.
On applying a dab on my hands and attempting to rub it in my hands suddenly felt like they had a layer of grease all over them that just stayed there rather than absorbing into my skin. I kept trying to rub it into my skin for another few minutes and finally succeeded but the greasy feeling persisted. On the tube it says it gives an immediate feeling of comfort, it should say immediate feeling of slimeyness.
So I had to wash it of and of course once I had done this my hands went back to feeling as dry as before. So I felt I had no choice but to try a smaller amount again, this didnt make my skin smooth at all i could still feel the dryness underneath the layer of cream. It is useless trying to do anything after youve put this cream on either, I couldnt use my laptop as I couldnt use the touch pad, and I thought id just sit down and listen to the radio but I couldnt turn the dial on it as my fingers were too slippy! The only think you could possibly do is put it on before going to bed.
Just had a look on tesco price check and it is over 3 pounds in the supermarkets. Totally not worth the money. Stick with the concentrated intensive formula.
I seem to lose tubes of hand cream faster than I can buy them! After finally finding one that I really liked I promptly lost it. So I wandered down to Superdrug on my lunch break to pick up another tube of it. However I was seduced by special offers and amazing claims of another product, what a mistake.
As I use hand cream when at work I need something that is going to absorb quickly and not leave my hands greasy. I saw the Norwegian Formula fast absorbing hand cream by Neutrogena, which claimed to moisturise hands immediately and be non greasy. Perfect!
The top half of the tube is a deep royal blue colour with a little Norwegian flag at the top and the bottom half is white with a black stripe telling you it is from Neutrogena. On the back it claims that 'the light non-greasy texture instantly melts into the skin for an immediate feeling of comfort'. It says that it is dermatologist tested and the tube is 75ml.
Right then, does it work. No, not really.
Light texture - feels just like every other hand cream
Absorbs immediately - No. It took about 10-15 minutes to fully absorb
Non-Greasy - No. The first time I used this I ended up going to the bathroom to wipe most of it off as it wouldn't absorb and felt so greasy. I assumed I had simply used too much so next time I used a very very small amount. This time it absorbed a bit quicker but still left a greasy film over my skin. It made me feel like I had sweaty palms all day and was not pleasant at all!
Not sure if there is anything else I can say about this hand cream. It does have a nice smell and reminds me of jasmine but apart from that it is terrible. My hands did feel softer but other creams work just as well without leaving your skin greasy.
Don't buy this. I am using the remainder of the tube to put on my elbows and any dry patches of skin before I go to bed.
Waste of money, unimpressed, going to buy the Vaseline everyday stuff I should have bought in the first place.
Keep hands hydrated and comforted with this instantly absorbed formula / It intensively moisturises hands, leaving no stickiness or residue / Fast Absorbing Hand Cream immediately softens dry skin, leaving hands smooth and supple /
