A great value handwash with good qulaity ingredients

      =Nivea Honey & Oil Hand wash=

      =My Purchase=
I am like a kid in a sweet shop when I go into £1 shops as I am always on the lookout for a bargain, and on one of my visits I saw this Nivea Hand wash at £1.

      =The Bottle=
The bottle is a plastic bottle, which holds 250ml of hand wash, and has a pump action cap to dispense the hand wash.

      =Hygiene=
I always like to have hand wash in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchen, as I find these more hygienic that a bar of soap, I always pop a bottle of hand wash in my toiletry bag for holidays.

      =My Experience=
Once I opened the bottle and pressed for my first squirt, I was impressed with the hand wash, it was not runny, but just a nice consistency that lathered easily and you could work around your hands to give them a good clean. The smell of honey was apparent, it had a sweet smell, and I would say that the oil used kept the mixture smooth for dispensing.

I had no problems at all with the bottle even when it was half way down the liquid came out just as good as when it first was used. After washing my hands I noticed that they felt smooth and I could smell the honey on them.

For us, a bottle of hand wash will last about 2 weeks in the bathroom and about a month in the kitchen, this was as long lasting as previous products that I had used.

      =Would I use again=
I would highly recommend this hand wash and I have brought it again, it is good quality, well priced, and long lasting.

      =Ingredients'=
Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Glyceryl Glucoside, Mel, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Trisodium EDTA, Glycol Distearate, Polyquaternium-10, Laureth-10, Benzophenone-4, Cocamide MEA, Maltodextrin, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Salicylate, Benzoic Acid, Linalool, Parfum, CI 10316, CI 16035, CI 28440.

A perfect handwash for the kitchen.

I'm reviewing NIVEA HONEY & OIL HANDWASH.
It cost me £1 in POUNDLAND,but is available in supermarkets for around the £1 .30 mark.
The pump action bottle contains 250ml of handwash.
      The ingredients are as follows....
Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Glyceryl Glucoside, Mel, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Trisodium EDTA, Glycol Distearate, Polyquaternium-10, Laureth-10, Benzophenone-4, Cocamide MEA, Maltodextrin, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Salicylate, Benzoic Acid, Linalool, Parfum, CI 10316, CI 16035, CI 28440.

      WHY I BOUGHT IT.
      -----------------------
Well I wanted a handwash for the kitchen area & my specifications were simple.
1/ ...... It had to be 'food' based so that it could be used without leaving hands that were about to prepare food reeking of the floral perfume that most handwashes use in their manufacturing process.
2/ ...... And a brand name would be nice ,but not essential.

After undoing the caps of various handwashes on offer and sniffing them (yes,I'm that awful woman who hovers around doing that :-)) I settled for this one as it met both my simple specifications.

I bought it about about two months ago & it still has a good quarter of a bottle left, and I think this is because even though it IS food based I still use it sparingly, because really the only time it is used is prior to food preparation or during food preparation. Filthy hands need proper bathroom scrubbing with a nail brush,food-prep(but clean) hands just need something mild like this as a safety net.

It smells lovely. Just like the name....natural honey & a touch of jojoba oil, which suits me fine.
The pump works well, unlike some of the cheap versions which clog up or refuse to work and I love the fact that it is so easy to use with one hand. I simply use my thumb to press the pump down while holding the rest of my hand under the nozzle to catch the cream. Nice & thick too, not watery & lathers well.

Would I recommend it ? Yes. And I'll buy it again when this one runs out.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A lovely, moisturising and sweet smelling handwash

On a recent trip to Tesco, all Nivea hand wash products were on special offer for £1 each. Given that this Honey and Oil hand wash usually retails at twice this price for a 250ml, I decided to take advantage of the offer and try this product.
The hand wash comes in a white bottle with a sky blue press pump dispenser on the top. The 'Nivea' logo is the text printed at the top on the front of the bottle, and it is in the usually 'Nivea' colours - white text printed on a dark to navy blue background. Beneath this title, it says 'Honey & Oil' and there is a small gold design. Beneath this is a little bit of navy text. All in all, the bottle is attractive yet the colouring is subtle and neutral enough to ensure that it would suit most bathrooms well. Not only does the bottle look good, but it is also practical. The body of the bottle has a small indentation on each side of the bottle, making it comfortable to hold in your hand whilst you dispense soap into the other. The bottle also has a flat yet slim base, so that it can stand neatly at the side of your bathroom sink.
The hand wash is dispensed by using the press pump on the top of the bottle. With many products, a press pump will dispense either far too much of the product, or so little of the product that you have to keep pressing the pump a ridiculous number of times. As petty as that sounds, it can be quite irritating. With this hand wash, the pump is great and does not stick. Pressing the pump once lightly dispenses just the right amount of soap to lather up and thoroughly cleanse the hands.
The Honey and Oil hand wash has a very light and silky texture. It lathers well when the hands are wet and rinses off easily without leaving the hands feeling greasy. The hand wash contains honey and jojoba oil to relieve dryness and to moisturise the hands well. It smells quite sweet, but I really don't think it smells much like honey at all and I think I would find it hard to distinguish between this hand wash and others. To me, it doesn't have a scent dissimilar to many other hand wash products that I use.
Aside from this, the hand wash leaves a lasting smell on the hands after use. My hands smell sweet and clean, and this smell lingers for quite a while after using the product. The one thing that makes this product stand out to me is how great my hands feel after using it; they feel soft and moisturised, as well as smooth and clean. This isn't the case with most hand wash products that I use, and this is why I'm such a fan of the Nivea Honey and Oil hand wash.
Last but not least, this hand wash lasts forever. Given that you only need to use a little bit of the product, it means that one small 250ml bottle lasts for a long time. Therefore, this hand wash, although more expensive than some others on the market, is great value for money.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      I prefer Radox

Whilst in Poundland, I spotted a product I had not seen before, Nivea Honey & Oil handwash. Normally I use Carex or my personal favourite, Radox, but I love Nivea body washes, and I love honey and I know that oil is good for moisturisation and of course, being from Poundland, it only cost £1.

The bottle is quite plain, white all over apart from the pretty sky blue press top, the navy logo and writing, and some golden honey splashing around. Seeing as it uses two of the most popular bathroom colours there are, I should think that it would suit the large majority of bathrooms.

The initial thing I noticed about this, was that it didn't come out very easily. Often I have to push the mechanism twice to get enough out which is quite annoying, maybe this is because of the honey, I don't know. The smell is slightly different to what I had expected, it is relatively sweet, but perhaps not with the same smell as I had expected. It is a pale lemon colour, not quite the rich golden that you would expect given the ingredients in the product.

It foams up averagely well, and leaves your hands smelling quite sweet. I don't notice them being more soft or moisturised than before though so not sure that the jojoba oil really makes the difference.

This is fine for a £1 but I still think I prefer Radox handwashes overall.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Lovely!

Being on holiday in a caravan with a mad mate and four dogs I'm constantly battling to stay feeling fresh and clean! I'm constantly doing jobs and cooking and stuff like that and so with frequency I'm washing my hands.

With the weather being nippy my hands have been feeling a little dried out and tight so I was looking to use something mild and gentle that make help ease that feeling as well as thoroughly cleansing my skin of course.

I spotted this in Poundland and (costing a pound of course!) and decided me and mate should try this out as at one whiff I fell in love with the fragrance in the store!

        The Packaging:

250ml white plastic bottle that has a light lilac plastic dispensing 'arm' to the top of it which when pushed gently squirts a little of the hand wash out of it. It securely twists to one side to close it off making it safe enough to take out and about with you if desired. I'm told on the label that it is indeed Nivea Honey & Oil Liquid Handwash 'With natural honey & jojoba oil' and there is a swish of yellow colour on there too. Other information on the back of the bottle includes being told a bit about the product, ingredients and size are listed and contact details for Beiersdorf UK LTD are given. It's a nice informative bottle and I do like the safety aspect to the top of it meaning kids can't drink it if you lock it off etc.

A Bit About The Product According To The Back of The Bottle:

Nivea Honey & Oil hand wash with natural honey and caring jojoba oil, gently cleanses and cares for your hands and protects them from drying out. For noticeably soft and supple skin - everyday.
Also available in a 500ml refill bag.

        To Use It:

The gel itself is a golden yellow, transparent colour and pumps out of it's dispenser with total ease. It's glossy and looks silky and has a wonderful aroma of honey and a sort of natural but light floral smell to it too. It lathers up on damp/wet skin with ease and you only need one pump to rid hands of grease, grime and dirt with total ease whilst leaving the hands smelling incredibly clean! It rinses off with ease and leaves hands feeling really beautifully soft and that feeling stays put for a good few hours too.

It's not only a nice skin cleanser and simple to use but it really does over time, make skin feel really healthy and it's really helped my skin feel less tight over time!

Recommended from me and my mate, we love this one on every level and it lasts ages too! Great stuff from Nivea!

Available in all good supermarkets priced around £1.75 a bottle.
