Palmolive Lavender & Chamomile Hand Wash
I saw these in the supermarket a few months ago and was quite surprised to see that they were made by Palmolive, not because Palmolive isn't a good brand, but they look very fancy and much like something you would get from a counter in Debenhams or somewhere alike.
The Palmolive brand is part of the Colgate-Palmolive Company, the company was founded in 1806, with the Palmolive soap made of palm oil and olive oil created in 1898. It is a worldwide successful soap manufacturer.
Palmolive Authentics - Lavender & Chamomile Hand Wash
The hand wash comes in a lovely designed bottle which I feel makes it look a lot more expensive than it actually is. The bottle is a tall see-through plastic bottle that has an upside down tear shape to it and a curved base. The Palmolive branding and design on this bottle is quite vintage in style with a nice floral design on the front.
At the top of the bottle is the dispenser which is a dark navy colour which you push down to release the hand soap. The dispenser releases a pea sized amount each push - just enough for a suitable hand wash. The bottle is a 250 ml size.
Inside the bottle you can see the hand soap, which is a lovely light purple colour to match the ingredients, particularly lavender. I use one squirt of this with warm water per hand washing event and this is plenty. The hand soap lathers up nicely without too much effort and cleans your hands really well.
The lavender and camomile ingredients smell lovely during use and after washing your hands; they are not excessively overpowering but are strong enough for you to benefit from their fragrant and sweet smelling aromas. Lavender is definitely the overriding smell to this hand wash, with the calmer and
relaxing camomile coming through.
The hand wash smells have a decent staying power on your hands after washing, but obviously this doesn't last that long. They are delicate to use and although do not contain particularly softening properties are gentle and soft on hands.
Overall I cannot fault this hand soap - it looks lovely in my white bathroom as well as smelling delicious, washes hands well and it is an inexpensive price at £2 for 250 ml. It has to have 5 out of 5 stars.
