Old fashioned with a modern twist

Advantages: Unique fragrance
Disadvantages: Bit strong smelling for me
This is a review of the Pears hand wash we have been using in our downstairs toilet for the past few months. I picked it up from the supermarket whilst on offer and am really impressed with the quality and fragrance of this hand wash for the price paid.
What is it?
A lot of people will be familiar with the Pears brand for their tablet soap but did you know they also make this liquid hand wash? Moving with the times I suppose.
The Pears hand wash bottle is a lovely unique shape, quite old fashioned but still modern in that it is made of plastic and has a pump top dispenser. Each bottle is 237ml and contains enough to last for a few weeks or months even with regular use.
The main thing I notice is the fragrance of the soap, which is true to the Pears soap. It is quite strong and a little old fashioned, definitely floral notes and is a nice amber liquid colour. The soap foams up well on contact with water and enables a good hand wash which is the top priority I am looking for from a hand wash.
I liked this as a change although it took a while for me to get used to the stronger smelling fragrance it left on your hands after use. I have another bottle to use up yet as I got two in an offer. My husband commented that he liked it so it obviously gets the man's vote of approval. I wouldn't say it was my favourite hand wash (and I have tried a lot!) and this is important to me as I am using hand wash many times in a day due to having two young children and changing nappies and other duties such as taking out the rubbish and cooking food. My mum always used tablet soap at home and it is only recently that I have converted her to liquid soap in the bathrooms as it's easier and quicker to use when hand washing.
I got two bottles for £2 a few months back and it seems there are no such offers around at the moment. The cheapest price I can find is at Superdrug where the 237ml bottle retails at £1.39.
I am undecided as to whether I will repurchase this hand soap. I probably would if I could find a good offer again but I do prefer a less fragrant hand wash than this. The Pears liquid soap will probably appeal more to older generations as it is more of an old fashioned fragrance than other soaps I have used.
Summary: A good buy at this price
