Review of Safemate Hand Sanitising Gel

Hand sanitisers are pretty big business in the UK these days. Whether people have become more hygiene conscious or whether we are paranoid about germs, I wouldn't like to say, but the fact remains, most people will have used a product of this nature at some point.

Safemate Hand Sanitising Gel is presented in a clear plastic bottle with a flip top lid. The bottle contains 57ml of gel and all instructions, advice and warning are printed on a clear sticker type label.
I bought my Safemate from my local Poundland store where I was able to purchase a blister pack containing 2 x 57ml bottles for just £1.

The gel kills 99.99% Of Bacteria, without needing any soap or water. This makes the product ideal for me when travelling. The gel is very pleasantly scented, it has a fairly disinfectant-like aroma, with an almost fruity under note. I like the scent very much and feel it is suitable for both women and men to use.
The gel rubs in very well and only a small amount is necessary to cover both hands. The gel dries quickly leaving no trace of dampness, stickiness or residue on the skin. After using this gel my hands feel refreshed and clean.
Considering this is an alcohol based hand rub, surprisingly Safemate gel does not dry out the skin, perhaps the addition of vitamin E and aloe Vera to help retain suppleness and moisture.

**Warnings, ingredients and Advice**

Safemate recommend a thumbnail sized amount of gel is enough for cleaning and adults hands.
They also recommend that children be supervised when using and that persons with broken skin conditions on their hands should avoid using.
The product is designed for use on the hands only.
Ingredients: - Active ingredient Ethyl Alcohol 62%.
Inactive ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Trienthanolamine, Carbomer, Parfum, Aloe Barbadensis, Tocopheryl Acetate, d-Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citral.

Safemate advise that this product can be used in any situation where you need to wash/clean your hands.

**My Thoughts and Conclusion**

I would recommend Safemate Hand Sanitising Gel to others. The small sized bottle makes it easy to carry around and it has proven invaluable to me when travelling in our motorhome. I usually carry a bottle with me when we walk the dog; it is small enough to slip into a pocket. After clearing up after the dog, it is nice to be able to quickly clean your hands afterwards and know that you are germ free and hygienic. I've also found this useful in public toilets, where sometimes the soap and towel/hand dryer facilities can be somewhat lacking. I would imagine that Mothers would find this useful for nappy changing when on the move and in a multitude of situation where clean hands are required in fact!
£1 for two bottles is a tiny price to pay for hygiene and I fully endorse this product to others.
