Another in my collect of S&G products!
This is Hand Food, a hand cream created by the famous Soap and Glory brand. Soap and Glory offer a range of bath, makeup, skincare and fragrance products with a retro feel to them. S&G describe this hand cream as *non-greasy hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow* The hand cream also contains fresh bergamont, strawberries, mandarin, musk, amber and warm vanilla.
Hand Food comes in a girly pink tube with a flip cap which is at the bottom of the tube. This is ideal as it allows you to squeeze every bit out and get the most for your money. This tube is not as retro as most of the S&G products however is still very attractive. The front has the company logo, name of the product and a description. The back of the tube has application advice, warnings, ingredients and company contact information. It also states the size of tube, that it is recyclable and once opened, is safe for use for 24mths.
S&G advise to apply as often as required to soften and smooth dry hands.
Not to be used on irritated or damaged skin and avoid eye area.
Lots of ingredients none of us usually know what they actually are but it does contain water, glycerin and shea butter!
*Availability and Price*
Available from Harvey Nichols and Boots as well as www.soapandglory.co.uk. A 125ml tube is £4.50 and this is also available in a travel size 50ml tube at £2.25.
My hands feel tender and sore due to lack of moisturising but I have always found hand creams to be sticky and I end up washing my hands after using them which kind of defeats the purpose of actually using it! Being a fan of S&G products and looking for bits and pieces for my holiday toiletrie bag, I spotted this in the travel section in my local Boots. At the time it was on offer at 1/3 off so £1.49 and advantage card points too!
The packaging is attractive to me, very girly and pink and I find the flip top idea when you apply the cream and need to close it up again. I squeeze a small blob, less than 5p size onto my hand and start rubbing it through my fingers and palms. The cream is a sort of pinky/white colour and a good consistency. It smells fruity and sweet and I believe this is a mix between the strawberry notes and added marshmallow. It soaks into your hands fairly quickly without leaving any sticky residue and I noticed my hands were delicately soft and beautifully scented though this is not overpowering that it rubs off onto everything you handle!
The 125ml tube provides excellent value for money though I personally prefer the travel size tube as I can fit it in my college bag or handbag to use whilst out of the house. Although the travel size cream isn't as good ml for ml value as the fullsize, only a small amount is needed for soft, supple hands so the tube lasts along time.
I highly recommend this wonderful hand cream and will continue to buy it when required from my local Boots store.
Summary: A HAND CREAM I CAN USE!
