Soap & Glory Hand Food
Advantages: Smells amazing, abosrbs well, price is good and hands look great after using it
I have a huge range of Soap and Glory products which is probably noticeable by the amount of reviews I have done lately. I never really used to be a big fan of lotions and potions and I have still never tried any Lush products. I well and truly am a S&G girl if anything and my collection of products is all mostly due to being given them a gifts although some I have loved that much I have then gone out and bought them myself my it has ran out. This product is another that I love using and use fairly frequently.
This Soap and Glory product is quite simply a hand cream. Packed with the usual mix of fruity and great smelling ingredients it contains a mixture of shea butter, macadamia oil and apparently marshmallow!
Once again, you cannot fail to recognise that this is a Soap and Glory product due to the pale pink tube and the usual white and cream writing with the S&G logo also stamped on the front. The front of the bottle asks 'The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide!' The back of the bottle gives usage instructions and my bottle is a 125ml sized one.
The product is advertised as non-greasy and when you do squeeze some out, you can tell straight away that it is not greasy and in fact is quite a nice thick hand cream. The cream has a gorgeous scent which is something that a lot of the Soap and Glory items never fail on. It doesn't have the same Mist you madly fragrance like a lot of other products do but, it smells to me very sweet and the shea butter is evident to me too. I would describe it as a 'rich' scent in that it smells expensive.
The cream does rub in very easily and I can really tell I have used something as soon as it is absorbed as my hands look smooth and glossy and the smell also lingers for quite some time so it really is a wonderful product to use.
The hand food can be bought in Boots for £2.35 for a 50ml travel sized tube or for £4.85 for the 125ml size like I have. As always Boots, run the 3 for 2 offers a lot and this usually includes S&G products in it. I have been given S&G products as presents before but, if I ever want or need to purchase products, I tend to wait until this offer is on because then it works out much cheaper and even better value per item.
I adore this hand cream! Quite simply it is one of the best I have used apart from my Olay one. I find that I use this more than my Olay one though just because the scent is so much better and when used in conjunction with any of my other Soap and Glory products, I really feel pampered and I feel really nice because of all the wonderful scents that linger on my skin. The scent on this really is good and every time I apply it and any of my dogs are near, they instantly want to come over to have a sniff and start trying to lick my hands so they obviously think it tastes nice too although I wouldn't recommending eating it myself no matter how good it smells!
I think for the money, it is well worth it as you can pay an awful lot more for other hand creams that do not work nearly as well or smell anywhere near as good and for the price I feel i is good value because it works, smells gorgeous and also lasts a long time. My bottle is nowhere near finished and yet I have used it frequently throughout the year. The thing with this product too is that a little goes a long way and you don't really need more than a tiny dollop to get a really good coverage on each hand so it is definitely worth the money and gets a full 5* recommendation from me.
