Soap & Glory Hand Food
Advantages: Smells lovely, moisturisers, good value
Disadvantages: Have to top up frequently
I received 'Hand Food' from Soap and Glory as part of a Christmas present last year. I was pleased with it as I normally like products from this range - mainly because I love the smell of them.
The Hand Food I received comes in a small tube (50ml) but I have seen this product in other containers/sizes. The tube is pink in colour (as is a lot of the Soap & Glory packaging) and says 'The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide' at the top of it. This is quite in-keeping with their quirky kind of packaging style.
The short description on the front says 'non-greasy hand cream with shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow' which sounds pretty good to me!
The cream itself is really sweet smelling (but not too overpowering or sickly smelling) and is a nice consistency as it's quite thick but still rubs into the skin really easily. Once I have applied it the kind of 'greasy' feeling only lasts about 30 seconds and then it seems to soak in really quickly. It's hard to describe the smell very well as I can't think of anything it's like, but like I said it is sweet and would suit someone younger but as it's not too sickly I think most people could like it.
I do have quite dry skin and this product has been very good at improving dry skin as well as smelling lovely and leaving my hands feeling really soft. I have had my small tube since Christmas and I have it in the office and apply several times a day. It's hard to see how much is left but it doesn't feel like it will run out any time soon. A little goes a long way! I suppose the fact that I feel the need to apply it several times a day shows that it maybe wears off fairly quickly so if there is one thing I could improve about the product it would be for it to moisturise my hands for a longer period of time.
This product was purchased in Boots and is only £2.50 as it's classed as 'travel size'. Like I said though it has lasted a long while so it's great value for money.
