Soap & Glory Wash Your Hands Of It
Advantages: Smells nice, doesnt dry my hands out
Disadvantages: The price
When Jayden was born I received a lot of gifts from friends and family including things for both myself and for Jayden, I received a large hamper full of toiletries from a group of friends which contained both baby items and items for myself, the items which were for me included a lot of Soap and Glory products one of which was Soap and Glory Wash Your Hands of It. I have tried several Soap and Glory products in the past and have always been pleased with them so I was sure I would like the hand wash as well.
The Soap and Glory Wash Your Hands of It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a whitish coloured plastic pump on top of it which can actually be screwed on and off of the bottle should you wish. There is a pink label wrapped around the whole bottle, this has the name of the product written at the top in large cream and white letters outlined in silver. The majority of the front of the bottle is taken up with a black and white pictures of a lady washing her hands, the picture has an old fashioned look about it. The Soap and Glory logo appears in the bottom right hand corner and there is a small amount of information about the handwash which appears in various boxes and ovals.
On the back of the bottle is all of the relevant product information, a large amount of this area is taken up with the ingredients, but the top part of this area does contain directions of use and warnings, all of this information is clearly written and easy to read, it is short and to the point without any unnecessary waffle.
The packaging is nothing overly fancy, however with Soap and Glory's trade mark labelling it does stand out and look a bit different to other brands of handwash you can buy.
This particular handwash is a transparent pink colour fitting in with the general colour scheme of Soap and Glory, it is described as being a fruity fresh non drying handwash, when I first smelt this product it did have a definite fruity smell to it, I always think Soap and Glory products have a distinctive fragrance and this fitted in with that, I couldn't really tell what sort of fruit the handwash smelt of but there was certainly a fruity fragrance when I smelt it.
The information as I have already mentioned states that the handwash will not dry your skin out, I do suffer with dry skin on my hands particularly in the winter, but whilst I was using this particular handwash I did notice that when I washed my hands the skin did not dry out as quickly as it does with some other brands.
The soap is of a reasonable thickness, not too runny so it runs straight off of your hands when water is added, however it is not so thick that it is hard to pump out of the bottle, in my opinion the consistency of this handwash is just right.
Directions for Use
How to use the Soap and Glory Wash Your Hand of It really is simple and personally I do not really feel that your need instructions, however they do appear on the back of the bottle and state that you should dispense a pump or two of the handwash into your hands and then lather it up with water and then rinse. This sections also states that so that your hands are extra soft you should add Soap and Glory hand Food Hand Cream.
The warnings on the back of the packaging simply state that should you get the hand wash in your eyes then all you need to do is rinse with clean water.
Price and Availability
As I have said I did not buy this bottle of hand wash as it was part of a present, however I have seen this product being sold in places such as Boots and the 250ml bottle costs around £5.00. Personally I do think this is quite expensive for a handwash especially where some other brands are a lot cheaper, however this is within keeping of the Soap and Glory range and the product is also of an excellent quality.
I have now used all of the bottle of Soap and Glory Wash Your Hands of It and was very pleased with it. I liked the fragrance of this product, it left my hands smelling clean and fresh, also the fragrance lingered for some time afterwards.
After using the handwash my skin did not feel dry or rough which I was pleased about so it did live up to its promise of being non drying.
If I had anything negative to say it would be about the price, I do think that £5.00 is a little pricey for a handwash, however saying that it is a good quality item as are most of the Soap and Glory products, but I do still think you are paying for the Soap and Glory name here. Overall I have been pleased with this product, it makes a lovely handwash for all of the family and is one I would recommend as an excellent quality product.
Summary: A nice handwash but pricey
