Easily lives up to its claims to cleanse the skin and leave your hands refreshed

The product: Superdrug Family Nourishing Handwash 300ml hand-wash in a clear plastic container, press down pump dispenser Icons on the container inform the consumer that: this item is paraben free; BUAV approved; has a 24 month shelf life after opening; that the container and pump are recyclable. What it claims: "especially formulated to cleanse the skin and leave your hands refreshed." To use: Simply press the top down whilst holding other hand underneath, spread all over hands and rinse. Review: I discovered the benefits of liquid hand soaps (as they were known then) when we had a prolonged stay on a camp site after a housing chain collapsed and our 2-3 week stay became much longer. The campsite toilets were supplied with Tesco value liquid soap hand wash. I was amazed how good the product was and how easy to use. Since then though, I have experimented with other brands and tend to buy what's available at the right price where I am, naturally I have discovered a few favourites along the way. On a regular trip to Superdrug, I checked to see if they had any handwash on offer, they did not, but I noticed that Superdrug own brand budget line was only 99p for 300ml. So although attempts to snif the products failed decided to give it a go, selecting two because I liked the colours. One of these was the family nourishing Sweet Lilac Creme Handwash. The bottle features a simple flower symbol (not lilac) on a water splashed background. The bottle is clear, so you can see that the product is mauve and crucially how much is left in the bottle at any time. I have found this product to be nice smelling, nice looking and crucially cleans my hands without drying them out too much. It even seems to work on the toughest of dirt for example when I have been working in the garden without gloves on or to quickly wash a dog paw print off my foot (yes really!) I have to admit, I do buy products because of how they look and this looks very nice in my bathroom, that although it is light blue I have a mauve curtain up, so the mauve colour of this product works will with my colour scheme. Superdrug sell several products within the range all different colours and fragrances, so far this is my favourite, even if the colour is not ideal for my kitchen. Easily lives up to its claims and at time of writing is on offer at an amazing 84p for 300ml. Fragrance: The fragrance is subtle, slightly chemically, floral and fresh. Advantages: This product is not tested on animals and is suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans. Ethical product Disadvantages: Colour not to everyone's taste. Price and Availability: Usually 99p per 300ml bottle. Available from Superdrug stores and Superdrug on-line. A bargain handwash!
