Advantages: cheap, neatens and moistursing skin around nails well, lasts ages

Disadvantages: not great for people with really dry hands

I've always hated using hand creams on my hands as I hate the greasy feel left from them afterwards, luckily I'm someone who only suffers from dry hands very occasionally in the Winter and I just borrow whatever my mums got as she always has dry that's often crack and bleed from being too dry.

The reason I picked this cream up was because I'd finally stopped biting my nails and noticed this product was a 2 in 1 hand moisturiser and nail strengthener and this is what led to buy it. The bottle really caught my eye as it was bright pink and it was in the mini travel/sample size section of Superdrug for about 99p. I really like the simple packaging, a bright pink squeezy tube with the name, information and a white hand print in white on the front. The lid was a screw top so there is no need to worry about a leakage but it can be annoying to put straight back on after using the cream on your hands. A tip I picked up was to squeeze some onto my fingertips and screw the lid back on before rubbing it in.

The cream itself is a slightly runnier consistency than I would have thought but not so runny it makes a mess or you use too much of the product. The moisturiser is white and smells very pleasant and subtle, I'm not sure what the smell is but it wasn't overpowering and didn't linger on my hands for long which is a plus for me as I hate my hands smelling, even if it's a nice smell.

I didn't need to use much of the handcream as I was mainly using it to strengthen my nails so used it on my fingers, I sometimes used a little on the back of my knuckles too. When I have used it all over though I've only needed about a 5p sized blob to cover both hands. I'm not too sure if there a huge difference in the strength of my nails but it definitely helped the skin around my nails which often looked horrible and icky from where I've started playing with my hands as a habit instead of biting them. My nails and fingers generally look tidier and feel softer and it was easier to push back the cuticles to paint my nails as they had been softened.

The effect it had on my hands are very soft after using it and there is no greasy feeling left at all as it sinks in super fast and like I said there is no overpowering smell left behind. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase especially as it's so cheap and lasts a long time, for 99p I would say a bargain.

This bottle does come in larger quantities too but I'm not sure how much for but I'm guessing it will be fairly cheap as it's Superdrugs own. I would only recommend this to people who don't suffer too badly from dry hands or just want to strengthen or neaten their nails as I doubt it would have enough moisturising effects for people like my mum who it really didn't do anything for in the slightest.

Summary: A very weak handcream, not strong enough for people with extremely dry hands.
