Tesco Handwash Magnolia
Advantages: Good price, smells nice
Disadvantages: Doesn't moisturise my hands
Seeing as I have an excitable Springer Spaniel at home it's probably hardly surprising to learn that I wash my hands a lot of times throughout the day. I feel like I'm always buying bottles of handwash for the house! Generally I buy whatever is on offer at the time as I don't want to spend a fortune on them and I'm not particular about which I buy. I'm using this one at the moment as it was the cheapest one in Tesco's at the time of shopping.
The plastic container that it comes in is quite sturdy and strong and doesn't give the impression that it would split if it got knocked over or anything like that. You can see the handwash through the plastic which I always like so that you know how much is left in it and when you need to buy another.
The top swivels round very easily and the instructions are clear about how to turn it initially in order to open the valve on top. Once 'opened' the lotion will come out very easily. It comes out via a pump dispenser and it depresses easily and releases the lotion easily. The handwash is the same consistency as a gel like substance and is a very bright solid white colour. It lathers very easily on your hands once you rub them together.
As soon as I start rubbing my hands with the handwash the strong floral scent hits me. I can't distinguish that it is magnolia but it's certainly a strong flowery smell and is lovely. I do feel the smell is quite feminine but I've had no complaints from the other half yet so won't draw this to his attention!
I can smell the handwash on my hands for quite a while afterwards but I don't think it has a moisturising effect on my hands. They don't feel rough after washing them with this, but I also can't notice they are softer at all. I wouldn't have thought it was particularly 'moisturising' but that might just be me.
It only costs 55p for 500ml (from Tescos) which is a brilliant price for it and well worth the money.
Summary: Good value handwash from Tescos, lovely smell and lathers well.
