“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Hand Wash „
I was on the look out for some liquid soap for the bathroom the other week and I spotted Tesco's Refreshing Handwash with natural lime and grapefruit extracts and moisturising complex. I though it would be a pleasant change to my usual one and so bought a bottle.
The bottle is exactly as shown, nothing fancy, just a clear plastic bottle with minimal decoration and a pump action dispenser. It cost 89p for a 500ml bottle. The label has all the usual directions for use, warning and ingredients. The handwash is quite thick and the pump is a little stiff, but that could just be this bottle, it may be different on others. When you dispense the liquid you do need to use quite a lot to get a good lather to cover your hands, and should you be running your hands under water whilst trying to make a lather, then it just washes away, you have to wet your hands, apply the handwash and then rub them together to produce a lather and then rinse it away. Some people may bo this anyway, but for me personally I want to be able to produce a lather as I'm wetting my hands and not be having to reach for the handwash after I've wet them and drip all over the place. The smell is not that refreshing either, you really have to put your hands up under your nose to really get any kind of smell and then it's just a bit citrusy.
On the plus side, it doesn't seem to dry my hands out, however they don't feel moisturised like it says on the label.
I supoose for 89p I shouldn't really complain, but I would at least expect it to have some fragrance, it cleans my hands but that's about all.
